Castuera approves its 2026 Public Employment Offer with four positions

Castuera aprueba su Oferta de Empleo Público 2026 con cuatro plazas

The Castuera City Council has approved its Public Employment Offer for the year 2026, which includes four positions for civil service and permanent contractual staff, all via the open competitive examination system. The decision, adopted by the Mayor’s Office through a Decree of September 9, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Extremadura number 179, dated September 16, 2026, with the official reference 2026081521.

The offer is part of the consolidated municipal budget for 2026, approved by the Plenary in the session of July 30, 2026, along with the personnel staffing plan, and whose final approval was announced in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz on August 31, 2026. The file includes the Report of the General Secretariat dated September 9, 2026, and is based on the mayor’s authority provided for in article 21.1.g) of Law 7/1985, of April 2, Regulating the Bases of the Local Regime.

The offered positions

The offer includes three civil service positions and one permanent contractual position, all via open competitive examination:

  • Administrative Officer (General Secretariat), General Administration, group C1, level 16, 1 position.
  • Administrative Assistant (Treasury), General Administration, group C2, level 14, 1 position.
  • Administrative Assistant (Census/General Secretariat), General Administration, group C2, level 14, 1 position.
  • General Works and Services Supervisor, permanent contractual staff, Special Administration, group equivalent to C1 by access qualification, 1 position.

Publication and call for applications

The agreement orders the publication of the offer on the corporation’s notice board, on the City Council’s electronic office (castuera.sedelectronica.es), in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz, and in the Official Gazette of Extremadura. The positions must be called for applications in execution of the offer within a non-extendable period of three years from its date of publication.

Appeals

Against the agreement, which exhausts administrative remedies, an optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Mayor within one month of publication, or a direct challenge may be filed before the competent Administrative Litigation Court within two months, in accordance with Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the Administrative Litigation Jurisdiction. The agreement is signed by the Mayor-President, Francisco Martos Ortiz.

The offer represents a significant opportunity for public employment in the La Serena region, consolidating administrative and technical positions in a reference municipality such as Castuera, with open-access positions that allow for the incorporation of new personnel into municipal services.
