Castroverde eleva a definitivo o crédito extraordinario de 5,6 millóns

The Castroverde City Council has a current budget of 5,659,375.60 euros after the credit modification file 8/2026, in the modality of extraordinary credit and credit supplement, was automatically elevated to definitive status as no allegations were presented during the public exhibition period. This is recorded in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo (BOP Lugo) in issue number 247, corresponding to Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the announcement with reference R. 2923, signed in Castroverde on October 22 by the mayor, Xosé María Arias Fernández.

The processing was based on article 169.1, by referral of 177.2 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the recast text of the Law regulating local finances, and the new expenditure framework is financed from the treasury surplus. The published text explains that, as the allegations process lapsed, the Plenary agreement adopted in the ordinary session of May 28, 2026, is elevated to definitive, although the body of the announcement refers to the file as number 4/2026 while the heading identifies it as 8/2026.

The same issue of the gazette includes another announcement from the Castroverde City Council, R. 2913, regarding the desafectation of a 264 square meter section of the Casullao public path, in the parish of A Pumarega, which changes from a public domain asset to a patrimonial asset.

The investment chapter is, by far, the most significant, accounting for 48% of the total expenditure status.

Against the agreement, the announcement reminds that interested parties may directly file a contentious-administrative appeal in accordance with article 171 of Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004 and articles 25 to 42 of Law 29/1998, of July 13, regulating the contentious-administrative jurisdiction, without the filing of the appeal suspending the effectiveness of the act by itself.

Impact for the residents

The publication closes the administrative route of the budget modification and gives the green light to the execution of the works during the remainder of the 2026 fiscal year, with a relevant part of the items destined for rural nuclei with smaller populations —Grandón, Rodinso, San Fitoiro, Pereira, Vilar, Uriz, Barredo, Feirobal, and Sagaruxe— and the Fortaleza neighborhood, the highest individual investment in the file.
