Castroverde calls for administrative assistant exams on October 6

The mayor of Castroverde, Xosé María Arias Fernández, approved through Mayoral Decree No. 417, dated September 28, 2026, the definitive list of admitted and excluded candidates and the appointment of the qualifying board for the position of administrative assistant via internal promotion. The resolution establishes the constitution of the board and the performance of the opposition phase exams for the coming October 6. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Lugo No. 225, dated October 1, 2026, with reference R. 2608.

Background of the selection process

The regulatory bases for the selection were approved on April 8, 2026, and published in full in the BOP of Lugo No. 097, dated April 30, 2026. The extract of the call was reported in the DOGA No. 108, dated June 11, and in the BOE No. 167, dated July 10.

The deadline for submitting applications ended on August 10, 2026. According to the resolution, no excluded candidates were registered, therefore the definitive list is closed without exclusions.

A single admitted applicant

The definitive list of admitted and excluded persons is as follows:

• Mª Carmen Díaz Fernández, with DNI XXX3597XX, Celga accreditation and status of admitted.

The resolution does not include any applicant in the list of excluded persons nor any reason for exclusion.

Composition of the qualifying board

The appointed selection body is composed of public employees from various municipalities in the province:

• President: Susana García Vilelo, public employee of the City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro; substitute Mónica Pérez Martínez, from the City Council of Castroverde.
• First member: Manuel Fernández Fernández, from the City Council of Castroverde; substitute Elvira de Dios Pérez, from the same council.
• Second member: Ana María Méndez Enríquez, from the City Council of A Fonsagrada; substitute María Trinidad Pérez Méndez, from the City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro.
• Third member: María Jesús López López, from the City Council of A Fonsagrada; substitute José Ramón Rivas Díaz, from the City Council of A Pontenova.
• Secretary: Lucía López López, from the City Council of Pedrafita do Cebreiro; substitute María García Ferro, from the City Council of Castroverde.

Constitution and exams on October 6

The qualifying board will meet for its constitution on October 6, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the Town Hall, located at Praza do Concello, 2. Subsequently, the applicant is summoned to take the opposition phase exams on the same October 6 at 11:00 AM in the plenary hall of the Town Hall.

Against the resolution, which exhausts administrative remedies, an appeal for reversal may be filed within one month before the Mayor’s Office, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the competent Contentious-Administrative Court, in accordance with Law 39/2015 and Law 29/1998. The resolution will be published in the BOP de Lugo and posted on the notice board of the council’s electronic headquarters and on its website.

The call thus closes the preliminary phase of the process and opens the effective calendar of tests, with a single applicant competing for a position reserved for internal promotion. The result of the exams on October 6 will determine the final filling of the post and will directly affect the organization of the administrative staff of the Concello de Castroverde.
