Castro Caldelas aproba un suplemento de crédito de 13.248,25 euros

The Plenary of the City Council of Castro Caldelas has initially approved the credit supplement file number 5/2026, for an amount of 13,248.25 euros, financed by the General Treasury surplus. The agreement was adopted in the plenary session of October 8, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 15, 2026, in section IV, Local Entities, with the reference R. 2.449. From the day following the publication, a period of fifteen days is opened for any interested person to examine the file and present any allegations they deem appropriate.

The processing responds to the provisions of article 169.1, by referral from article 177.2, of the recast text of the Law regulating local finances, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5. This route allows the council to provide credit for certain actions when the current budget is insufficient, provided that there is an appropriate source of financing. In the case of Castro Caldelas, the resource used is the General Treasury surplus, that is, the accumulated liquid funds of the corporation that are not committed to other purposes.

The essential data of the file are as follows:

  • Approving body: the Plenary of the City Council of Castro Caldelas.
  • Date of agreement: October 8, 2026.
  • File: credit supplement number 5/2026.
  • Amount: 13,248.25 euros.
  • Financing: General Treasury surplus.
  • Publication: Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense, October 15, 2026, section IV.
  • Official reference: R. 2.449.

Public information and submission of allegations

The announcement submits the file to public information for a period of fifteen days, counted from the day following its publication in the provincial gazette. During this period, the file will remain at the disposal of any interested party in the municipal offices, where it may be examined.

Allegations must be formulated within this same period. The publication does not open a general participation process, but rather the mandatory exhibition period that the local finance regulations require before the final approval of the credit modification.

Final approval and effects on municipal accounts

If the fifteen-day period passes without any allegations being presented, the agreement will be considered definitively approved, without the need for a new plenary vote. Otherwise, the Plenary must resolve the claims presented before closing the processing of the file.

The supplement adds 13,248.25 euros to the municipal budget in force, with a source of financing already available in the Treasury. The official document is electronically signed by the mayor, Sara Inés Vega Núñez.

Relevance for the municipality

The operation directly affects the council’s accounts and, therefore, the capacity to execute planned expenditures that would otherwise remain without budgetary coverage. For the residents, the procedure opens a fifteen-day window to consult the file and, if they consider it appropriate, submit allegations before the modification is definitively approved.
