Castrillón convoca subvenciones para escuelas deportivas con 45.000 euros en 2026

The Castrillón City Council, through the Municipal Board of Sports Activities (PMAD), has announced competitive grants intended for sports schools in the council during the 2026 fiscal year, with a global allocation of 45,000 euros. The announcement, identified by reference BDNS 933332, is published in the Official Gazette of the Principality of Asturias (BOPA) no. 197, dated October 13, 2026, within section IV, Local Administration, City Councils, under the official reference Code 2026-08172.

The call is based on articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, which requires the publication of the call summary and the submission of the full text to the National Database of Subsidies. The applicable regulatory bases are the general subsidy ordinance of the Castrillón City Council and its autonomous bodies and dependent entities, published in the BOPA on February 20, 2006.

The announcement is dated September 7, 2026, in Piedras Blancas and is signed by the Presidency of the Municipal Board of Sports Activities. The same edition of the gazette includes the complementary call for the line of sports events and competitions, endowed with 42,000 euros and processed under reference BDNS 933501 (Code 2026-08194).

Object and purpose of the aid

The object of the call is to regulate the granting of subsidies from the PMAD, within its area of competence, to sports entities for sports promotion and sports schools in the municipality of Castrillón. The stated purpose is to establish the strategic objectives of sports programs of public interest during 2026 and to encourage the promotion and dissemination of sports in the council.

The total allocated amount is 45,000.00 euros. The amount finally received by each applicant will result from the economic valuation of the points obtained and, in no case, may exceed the actual deficit of the activity, calculated based on the organization expenses and income of any kind generated by the planned program.

Who can apply for the aid

The following may be beneficiaries, provided they also comply with article 13 of Law 38/2003:

  • Sports entities, federations, or basic sports clubs legally constituted in accordance with Decree 24/1998, of June 11, which regulates the operation of sports clubs and associations within the regional scope of the Principality of Asturias.
  • Entities registered, except in the case of federations, in the Registry of Sports Entities of the Principality of Asturias and in that of the Castrillón City Council.
  • Entities with a minimum seniority of six months from the publication of the call in the BOPA.
  • Other legal entities legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry.
  • Natural persons over 18 years of age with full legal capacity.

Evaluation and Distribution Criteria

The PMAD will apply twelve evaluation criteria, including sports technicians, sports schools for people with disabilities up to 18 years of age, the number of licenses and youth category teams, the participation of athletes of both sexes, the competition scope, the cost of refereeing, material expenses, medical examinations, sports travel, and the cost of facility rentals in accordance with ordinances 112 and 405 of the PMAD.

Projects must achieve at least 10 points to be eligible for evaluation. The economic valuation will be determined by the rule of three, taking the highest economic proposal as the maximum for each bracket. If applications exceed the planned allocation, the percentage assigned to each will be proportionally reduced. The individualized amount will be set by the Municipal Grant Evaluation Committee, upon the proposal of the Delegated Department of Sports, charged to the corresponding budget item.

Submission Deadline

Applications shall be submitted within ten calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the call announcement. With the publication in the BOPA on October 13, 2026, the period begins on October 14 and concludes on October 23, 2026.

The call comes at a key moment for the council’s associative fabric: clubs, federations, and sports schools have the month of October to organize their documentation and apply for a line of aid that supports a large part of grassroots sports activity in Castrillón, from youth categories to inclusive sports programs.
