Castilla y León allocates 1.06 million to equality and against gender-based violence

The Second Vice Presidency of the Junta de Castilla y León has announced the grants for the year 2026 intended for the development of projects promoting equal opportunities between women and men and the fight against gender-based violence in the community. The call, approved by resolution on August 20, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 164, dated August 25, 2026, and mobilizes a total of 1,065,249 euros distributed across 10 programmatic lines.

The call is processed under a competitive bidding system and aims to advance the elimination of inequalities between women and men in various fields and sectors, as well as to achieve social integration and the improvement of personal autonomy for women in situations of special vulnerability, particularly victims of gender-based violence.

Beneficiaries and Regulatory Bases

Entities of the Third Sector of Social Action, as defined in Article 2 of Law 5/2021, of September 14, on the Social Third Sector in Castilla y León and the amendment of Law 8/2006, of October 10, on Volunteering in Castilla y León, may apply for these grants.

The call is governed by the regulatory bases approved by Order FAM/595/2024, of June 14, which establishes the framework for the granting of these subsidies in the community.

Amount and Award Criteria

The total contribution from the Administration amounts to 1,065,249 euros, corresponding to 10 programmatic lines. The individualized amount for each beneficiary entity will be 100% of the accepted budget of the submitted project, according to the order of priority resulting from the score obtained by applying the evaluation criteria set out in the eleventh resolution of the call.

Deadline and Submission of Applications

The deadline for submitting applications will be 10 business days, counted from the day following the publication of the summary of the call in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León. The full text can be consulted in the National Grants Database and on the electronic headquarters of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León, using the BDNS identifier.

The resolution was signed in Valladolid on August 20, 2026, by the Second Vice President of the Junta de Castilla y León, Isabel Blanco Llamas.

The call reinforces the regional commitment to effective equality and the protection of victims of gender-based violence, channeling public resources toward social entities working on the ground for the integration and autonomy of women in situations of vulnerability.
