Castilla y León announces grants to prevent occupational risks in 2026

The Regional Ministry of Industry, Universities, Employment and Trade of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has announced, via Order of August 31, 2026, public subsidies for the year 2026 intended for the implementation of occupational risk prevention actions, on a competitive basis. The call is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 171, dated September 3, 2026, with the official reference BOCYL-D-03092026-171-12.
The order is issued in accordance with Law 31/1995, of November 8, on the Prevention of Occupational Risks, and its summary is published according to articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17. Beneficiaries and Purpose
The grants are aimed at the organizations referred to in article 12 of Law 31/1995, as well as employer and trade union organizations that are representative in their corresponding sectoral scope. Foundations or other entities established by these organizations, and even groupings without legal personality formed by them, may also apply.
- Entities must have their headquarters in the Community of Castilla y León.
- They must be legally constituted and registered in the corresponding registry.
The purpose of the call is to promote the improvement of health and safety conditions at work, with special attention to small businesses, through information actions, technical assistance, and the promotion of compliance with occupational risk prevention regulations.
Amount and Regulatory Bases
The total amount of the call amounts to 550,000.00 euros. In accordance with article 16.3 of Law 5/2008, of September 25, on Subsidies of the Community of Castilla y León, and in order to address a greater number of applications, the amount may be increased during its validity by an additional amount of up to 100% of the total, subject to the availability of credit and the prior approval of the budget modification.

Application Deadline
The deadline for submitting applications will be fifteen days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León. The order was signed in Valladolid on August 31, 2026, by the Regional Minister of Industry, Universities, Employment and Trade, Juan Carlos Suárez-Quiñones Fernández.
The call for applications represents a direct opportunity for SMEs and social agents in the community, who will be able to finance specific actions to improve occupational health and safety. With a budget that can be expanded up to double, the Junta reinforces its commitment to prevention as a key tool to reduce occupational accidents in Castilla y León.
