Castilla y León announces FEAGA grants to promote its wines in third countries

The Regional Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Environment and Environmental Policy of the Regional Government of Castilla y León has announced, for the year 2027, grants intended for the promotion and communication activities of wine products in third-country markets. The call is detailed in the Order of September 21, 2026, and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla y León number 185, dated September 23, 2026, in section I.C.2 of Calls, pages 43 and 44, with the official reference BOCYL-D-23092026-185-13. The application period will remain open from the day following the publication of the summary until 2:00 PM on December 9, 2026.
Regulatory Framework and Financing
The regulatory bases for these grants are established in Royal Decree 905/2022, of October 25, which regulates Wine Sector Intervention within the framework of the Strategic Plan for the Common Agricultural Policy. The call is supported by articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies.
The grants will be financed by the European Agricultural Guarantee Fund (EAGF). The full text of the call can be consulted in the National Grants Database, with the identifier BDNS 930742, and on the electronic office of the Administration of the Community of Castilla y León.
Who Can Apply for the Grants
The following entities may submit applications:
- Wine companies established prior to the date of application submission.
- Wine producer organizations and associations of producer organizations, in accordance with articles 152 and 156 of Regulation (EU) No 1308/2013.
- Interprofessional organizations.
- Professional organizations that carry out their activity mainly in the wine sector and have promotion among their statutory purposes.
- Management and representation bodies of wine PDOs and PGIs, as well as their associations.
- Temporary or permanent associations of producers for the purpose of promotion and marketing of wine.
- Cooperatives that market wines produced by themselves or by their associates.
- Non-profit associative entities participated in exclusively by companies of the wine sector for the purpose of external promotion.
- Public bodies with legally established competence to carry out promotion activities in third countries, provided they are not the sole beneficiary.
Objective and Eligible Markets
The measures seek to promote knowledge of the characteristics and qualities of the wines, in order to contribute to the improvement of their competitive position and the consolidation or, where appropriate, the opening of new markets. All countries not belonging to the European Union are considered eligible for promotional measures.

The call opens a European funding route for wineries, cooperatives, regulatory councils, and sectoral organizations of Castilla y León to strengthen their commercial presence outside the European Union during 2027. The sector has slightly more than two and a half months, until December 9, to formalize their applications.
