Castilla-La Mancha allocates 10.9 million to train employed workers
Por FactBox Admin

The General Directorate of Vocational Training in the Labor Sphere of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha has announced grants for a maximum amount of 10,911,000.00 euros to finance training actions aimed at employed workers during 2026. The call is approved by the Resolution of 10/27/2026, published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) number 208, of October 29, 2026, with the official reference 2026/7852 and the National Grants Database identifier BDNS 938248.
Competitive bidding and regulatory bases
The grants are processed under a competitive bidding regime and are governed by Order 178/2020, of November 19, of the Ministry of Economy, Business and Employment, subsequently modified by orders 102/2021, 106/2022, 79/2023, and 118/2024. The procedure is resolved by comparing applications and order of priority, with a maximum of 80 points and a minimum threshold of 10% of the score to access financing.
The funding comes from earmarked funds from the State Public Employment Service, under the Ministry of Labor and Social Economy, and the Ministry of Education, Vocational Training and Sports, charged to the 2026 and 2027 fiscal years.
Budget distribution by program
Of the total, 9,500,000 euros are allocated to competitive bidding and 911,000 euros to direct grants (scholarships, student aid, and company compensation for internships). The breakdown by program type is as follows:
- Sectoral programs: 4,900,000 euros (2,100,000 for actions leading to a professional certificate and 2,800,000 for those not leading to one).
- Transversal programs: 4,200,000 euros (500,000 and 3,700,000, respectively).
- Qualification programs to complete the accreditation of competencies: 400,000 euros.
By sector, the largest allocation corresponds to logistics and transport, with 22.5% (630,000 euros in programs not leading to a certificate and 472,500 in those that do), followed by circular economy (18%), dependency care (13%), tourism and hospitality (12.5%), and industry (10%). The list is completed by cinematic and television activities, aeronautical, agricultural, livestock and forestry, agri-food, crafts, energy, provision of public services under concession, and telecommunications and information technologies.
Requirements and deadlines for entities
Public or private training entities accredited and/or registered in the State Registry of Training Entities for the specialties to be taught, with a presence in Castilla-La Mancha and facilities registered in the region, may apply for the grants.
- Submission deadline: ten days from the day following the publication of the resolution and its summary in the DOCM.
- Method: electronic form via the Junta’s electronic office (code SIACI SJ2G), with an electronic signature.
- Limits: one application per sector and program; up to 40% of the sectoral budget for programs with professional certification and 30% for those that do not grant one.
- Composition: each program must include at least two training actions, with a maximum of five editions of each, and at least 20% in face-to-face modality.
The maximum period for resolution and notification is six months, with negative administrative silence. Programs of up to 400 hours must be completed before September 30, 2027; longer programs, before November 30, 2027. The justification must be submitted no later than two months after the end of the training.
Payments and priority groups
Entities may request an advance of 25% before the start of the activity, an additional 35% once the start has been accredited, or a single advance of up to 60%; the remaining 40% is paid after justification. Priority in student selection will be given to women and groups such as long-term unemployed persons, those over 45 years old, low-skilled youth, persons with disabilities, migrants, LGBTI persons —particularly trans people— and victims of gender-based violence. Participating unemployed persons may receive scholarships and grants for transport, meals, and accommodation.
The call arrives with the tightest deadline of the administrative calendar: ten days leave barely any room for entities to prepare complete programs and apply for a credit that, in practice, concentrates nearly 60% in training not linked to professional certifications. The sectoral distribution confirms the commitment to logistics, circular economy, dependency care, and tourism, which are strategic activities for the region’s labor market.
