Castilla-La Mancha convoca ayudas renovables para comunidades energéticas

The General Directorate of Energy Transition of the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Development has approved the 2026 call for grants for the utilization of renewable energies in Castilla-La Mancha, aimed at energy communities and homeowners’ associations. The resolution, signed on September 1, 2026, by the general director Alipio García Rodríguez, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 172, dated September 8, 2026, with official reference [2026/6455].

The grants, co-financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), seek to incentivize the use of clean energy to consolidate a model of sustainable development and energy saving in the region. The summary of the call is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 927526.

Regulatory Framework and Financing

The call is governed by Order 52/2026, of April 14, of the Regional Ministry of Sustainable Development, which establishes the regulatory bases for these grants within the framework of the Castilla-La Mancha ERDF Program 2021-2027. The maximum credit allocated to finance the grants amounts to 10,668,240.50 euros from own funds, charged to the budget application 23.06.0000.G/722A/FPA0090010.

The amount is distributed over two annual periods:

  • 2026: 3,200,470.50 euros
  • 2027: 7,467,770.00 euros

Beneficiaries and Eligible Technology

Energy communities and homeowners’ associations may be beneficiaries, under the terms of Article 3 of Order 52/2026. The technological area covered is photovoltaics, with or without a behind-the-meter storage system, excluding storage systems that use lead-acid technology.

The granting process will be handled through a simplified competitive procedure, with files being resolved as they are submitted and as long as budget credit remains available.

Deadlines and Submission of Applications

The deadline for submitting applications is six months from the day following the publication of the resolution and its summary in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha. Applications must be submitted exclusively electronically with an electronic signature, via the online form of the electronic headquarters of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (www.jccm.es).

The execution period for the actions ends in a maximum of 15 months from the notification of the grant, extendable for an additional period of up to 6 months upon a reasoned request. The action will not be eligible for a grant if it has been fully executed before the application is submitted.

Expected Impact

The call for proposals anticipates an additional renewable energy production capacity of 8,998 MW, a total production of 13,946.90 MWh/year, and an estimated reduction of 7,266.33 tons of CO₂ equivalent per year, according to the implementation and result indicators linked to Regulation (EU) 2021/1058 of the ERDF.

For residents and communities throughout the region, this line represents a concrete opportunity to finance shared self-consumption installations, reduce energy bills, and move toward a cleaner and more decentralized energy model, in line with the objectives of the Castilla-La Mancha ERDF Program 2021-2027.
