The resolution, signed on August 26 by the general director María Teresa Marín Rubio, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha number 167, dated September 1, 2026, with reference [2026/6357].
The aid amounts to 1,500 euros per beneficiary, with a maximum of 3,000 euros per family unit, and may be used for the development of activities, provision of services, and acquisition of materials. The application period extends from the day following the publication of the call until October 31, 2026.
Beneficiaries and requirements
These grants are available to individuals who, on the date of application, have been diagnosed with a rare disease and can prove this condition, as well as those suspected of having one and awaiting diagnosis. In both cases, the condition must be certified by a medical report issued by a practitioner of the Public Health Service or a contracted entity.
- Reside in Castilla-La Mancha for at least 6 months prior to the application (exception for refugees or victims of gender-based violence).

- Submit a single application per interested person.
Amounts and financing
The call is financed through the budget application 2610G/413D/48212, and the grants will cover expenses incurred between January 1 and December 31, 2026. The maximum amount may be exceptionally increased by up to 100,000 euros additional, subject to the availability of credit.
- 1,500 euros per beneficiary.
- 3,000 euros maximum per family unit.
- Single advance payment following the granting resolution.
- Justification via a simplified justification account, with a deadline until February 28, 2027.
How to apply
Applications shall be addressed to the General Directorate of Humanization and Social and Health Care and may be submitted electronically, with an electronic signature, through the electronic office of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha, or in person at any of the registries provided for in the common administrative procedure regulations. The granting will be processed through a simplified competitive procedure, based on the order of receipt of applications until the credit is exhausted.
The call for applications is based on Order 138/2024, of August 21, which establishes the regulatory bases for these grants, as amended by Order 178/2025, of December 4, and is registered in the National Grants Database with the identifier 926667. The full text can be consulted on the electronic headquarters of the Junta de Comunidades de Castilla-La Mancha.
This line of grants represents direct financial support for families living with a rare disease, a group that frequently faces high costs for materials, treatments, and services not covered by the healthcare system. With a deadline open until October 31, the call offers those affected and those awaiting a diagnosis the opportunity to finance their needs during the 2026 fiscal year.
