Castilla-La Mancha grants aid against multiple discrimination to eight entities

The Instituto de la Mujer de Castilla-La Mancha has published in the Diario Oficial de Castilla-La Mancha (DOCM) of 17 August 2026 the Resolution of 30 July 2026, granting aid for the prevention of multiple discrimination in 2026. The document, registered under number 2026/6058, falls within the Other Provisions and Acts section of the official gazette.

The resolution was signed by the director of the Instituto de la Mujer, María Teresa López Tomé, and brings to a close a procedure initiated with the publication of the call for applications on 5 March 2026, pursuant to Resolution of 18 February 2026 of the same body. The applications were assessed by the collegiate evaluation body and subjected to the processing procedures established in the regulations.

Marco normativo y financiación

The call is based on Order 40/2023, of 23 February, of the Consejería de Igualdad y Portavoz, which establishes the regulatory framework for subsidies to promote gender equality, the prevention of gender-based violence and non-discrimination, published in DOCM number 43, of 2 March 2023. This order expressly includes aid for the prevention of multiple discrimination among the subsidisable lines.

Some of the grants awarded receive complementary funding from the Ministerio de Igualdad, through earmarked funds allocated to the Pacto de Estado contra la Violencia de Género. Specifically, the projects of Médicos del Mundo and Fundación Atenea Grupo GID are fully financed with these state funds, while the project of Asociación Aplec Inclusión Más Igualdad receives a partial contribution of €3,598.97 from the same fund.

Ocho proyectos seleccionados

The resolution grants aid to eight entities, all of which scored 50 points or more in the evaluation. The amounts awarded range from €11,692.91 to €18,000, with a total of approximately €121,765:

• Médicos del Mundo (G79408852) — €18,000 — Gender violence prevention programme aimed at migrant men (70 points).
• Fundación Atenea Grupo GID (G84392810) — €14,401.03 — “New bridges: young men for equality” (64 points).
• Asociación para la solidaridad e Igual de oportunidades ASIO (G02297406) — €11,692.91 — “All Together” (53 points).
• Asociación Aplec Inclusión Más Igualdad (G96048640) — €17,141.03 — Awareness-raising and prevention of gender violence among women over 65 in rural areas (53 points).
• Asociación In Género (Interculturalidad y Género) (G13426671) — €18,000 — Legal advice for women in prostitution, victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation (52 points).
• Asociación In-Situ Social C-LM (G13622097) — €14,252.39 — “Home and autonomy”: empowerment for women in residential exclusion (50 points).
• Asociación para la mediación social y cultural: Intermedi@ cción (G45651700) — €13,578 — “Sit down, here a neighbourhood begins in the feminine” (50 points).
• Comisiones Obreras Castilla-La Mancha (G45080033) — €14,700 — Making visible the multiple discrimination of migrant women (50 points).

Applications denied and withdrawn

In addition to the eight grants, the resolution sets out the outcome of a total of 22 applications assessed. Sixteen organisations had their applications denied for failing to reach the minimum required score, including the Federación de Asociaciones de Familiares de Personas con Enfermedad Mental en Castilla-La Mancha (38 points), Cáritas Diocesanas Toledo (36 points) and the Fundación Almida (32 points).

Four more applications were denied for various reasons: Ayuntamiento de Socovos failed to comply with the requirements of the regulatory bases, while the Federación de Ataxias de España Fedae, the Federación de Piragüismo de Castilla-La Mancha and the Asociación Día de Víctimas de Accidentes submitted projects not falling within the scope of this call. Finally, the Asociación Trabe was withdrawn for failure to comply with Article 26 of Order 40/2023.

Implementation and justification deadlines

The grants are paid in advance and without the need for prior justification, always before 31 December 2026. The beneficiary organisations must implement their projects and fulfil the purpose of the grant before that same date. The deadline for justifying expenses ends on 31 January 2027.

The resolution does not exhaust the administrative route. An appeal for reconsideration may be lodged against it with the Consejería de Igualdad within one month, in accordance with Articles 121 and 122 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Impact on vulnerable groups

This call for proposals constitutes a direct public policy instrument against aggravated forms of inequality affecting women who suffer discrimination on the grounds of their origin, age, residence, economic situation or social status, among other factors. The funded projects range from the prevention of gender-based violence among migrant men to the empowerment of women experiencing residential exclusion, as well as legal advice for victims of trafficking and sexual exploitation, thus responding to an intersectional approach to gender equality in the autonomous community.
