Castilla-La Mancha closes the participation phase on lifelong learning

Castilla-La Mancha has completed the citizen participation phase of the draft decree that will regulate lifelong learning. The Directorate General for Vocational Training published the final report of the process on August 11, which has been officially collected in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha on Tuesday, August 18. The regulation establishes the framework for continuing adult education in the region.

Regulatory framework and background

The initiative, framed within Law 8/2019, of December 13, on Participation in Castilla-La Mancha, responds to the need to update the vocational training system of the autonomous community. The procedure was promoted by the Regional Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports through the regional Participation Portal.

The process has followed the legal channel stipulated in articles 16.d) and 17 of the aforementioned law, which require the preparation of a report with the conclusions and opinions of citizens prior to the adoption of decisions on participatory procedures of this nature.

Results of the public consultation

The report details citizen participation during the contribution period, which was open between July 15 and 28, 2026. The collection of opinions was carried out through an online form on the Participation Portal of Castilla-La Mancha.

The final figures of the process are:

  • 13 comments received from interested citizens.
  • 363 visits registered to the consultation document of the draft decree.
  • Technical assessment of the suggestions by the competent services of the regional ministry.

Content of the report and availability

The report, signed on August 11, 2026, by the Director General for Vocational Training, José Rodrigo Cerrillo Patiño, includes an annex with the statistical results and a summary of the contributions received. The suggestions that have been considered in whole or in part are specified, as well as the technical reasons in cases where they were not incorporated into the final text.
