Castilla-La Mancha opens the application period for the 2027 Performing Arts Network

The Vice-Ministry of Culture and Sports of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Sports has approved the call for professional companies and groups to submit their shows to the Performing Arts and Music Network of Castilla-La Mancha for the 2027 Circuit season programming. The resolution, signed on August 14, 2026, by the vice-minister Carmen Teresa Olmedo Pedrache, is published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha this Monday, August 24, 2026, under reference [2026/6146].

The call is based on Decree 44/2022, of June 1, which regulates the Performing Arts and Music Network of Castilla-La Mancha and seeks the distribution and exhibition of performing arts and music in all its forms. The procedure will be entirely electronic, through the Performing Arts and Music Portal of Castilla-La Mancha (artesescenicas.jccm.es), in accordance with Law 39/2015, of October 1, on Common Administrative Procedure.

Purpose and Recipients

The objective is to compile the catalog of shows with which the programming entities adhered to the Network will develop their programming for the 2027 Circuit season, which runs from January 7, 2027, to January 6, 2028. Professional theater, dance, music, and circus companies and groups whose primary activity is in the performing arts may participate; non-profit associations are excluded.

The requirements for participation include:

• Being registered for the Economic Activities Tax (or equivalent) under a performing arts and music heading during any period of the year prior to publication.
• Being registered in a Social Security scheme (or equivalent) during any period of the previous two years.
• Registering as a “Professional Company/Group” on the Performing Arts and Music Portal of Castilla-La Mancha.

A tax domicile within the region is not mandatory, but it is valued for scoring purposes. Companies from Castilla-La Mancha may submit a maximum of two shows, while others may submit a maximum of one.

Deadline and Submission

The deadline for submitting proposals is ten business days starting from the day following the publication in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha. Applications are completed via the Portal’s form, also accessible from the Electronic Office of the Regional Government of Castilla-La Mancha (jccm.es), and must include the show’s details, the reference fee, technical data, and links where the work can be viewed.

Evaluation and Catalog

The Technical Artistic Commission will evaluate the proposals according to the criteria of Article 15 of Decree 44/2022, including quality, innovation and novelty, shows by companies with a tax residence in the region, sociocultural and gender equality impact, and the predisposition toward complementary activities. The catalog will contain a maximum of 290 shows, ensuring the presence of all modalities (theater, dance, music, and circus).

Shows selected in the XXX Performing Arts and Music Fair (resolution of February 3, 2026) and those subsidized by the 2025 and 2026 support calls for theater, dance, and circus production will be incorporated directly into the catalog. The maximum period for resolution will be three months, and the resolution will be published in the Official Gazette of Castilla-La Mancha and on the Portal.

The call opens a window of opportunity for the region’s performing arts and musical fabric, which will be able to take its productions to the municipalities adhered to the Network throughout the 2027 season, with the support of public funding for theater, dance, and circus production.
