Casillas saca a concurso la madera del Monte 63 en dos lotes

The Casillas City Council has announced the award by public tender for the timber harvesting of the Public Utility Classified Forest No. 63, divided into two disposal lots. The call for tenders is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila number 176, dated September 11, 2026, and is processed in accordance with the Mayoral Decree of September 8, 2026, which approves the procedural specification documents.

The tender is governed by the particular technical-faculty specification document approved by the Territorial Environmental Service of Ávila on August 27, 2026. The contracting body is the Mayor’s Office, which will award each lot to the highest bid submitted; the tender is aimed at logging companies and public forest managers interested in the exploitation of the municipality’s forest mass.

Two lots for tender

The forest timber is divided into two independent lots, each with its own minimum disposal price and reference index value:

  • Lot AV-MAD-0589-2026: total minimum disposal price of €104,970.00 and index value of €131,212.50.
  • Lot AV-MAD-0590-2026: total minimum disposal price of €94,200.00 and index value of €117,750.00.

In both cases, VAT will be as legally applicable, faculty operation expenses are €0.00, and provisions are made for the destruction of cutting residues, amounting to €20,944.00 for lot 0589 and €18,840.00 for lot 0590.

Submission of bids

Bids may be submitted within a period of 7 calendar days from the publication of the announcement, at the General Registry of the Casillas City Council, from Monday to Friday between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM. Electronic submission via the council’s electronic office is also permitted, where both the particular specification documents and the technical specification documents are available.

The award criterion is that of a public tender for the highest bid, meaning the highest economic bid for each lot of timber will prevail. The complete documentation of the procedure can be consulted on the municipal electronic office.

Management of public forests

The tender is part of the ordinary management of the forests classified as public utility in the province, whose timber harvesting is put to tender to ensure the sustainable exploitation of the forest mass and generate revenue for the municipality. The call for tenders is signed by the Mayor-President, María Beatriz Díaz Morueco.

The resolution of the two lots will allow companies in the timber sector to access a significant volume of wood within the municipality of Casillas, while the City Council ensures the correct execution of the felling and the clearing of debris, in accordance with the technical specifications approved by the competent territorial service.
