Por FactBox Admin

The Department of Presidency, Justice and Sports of the Xunta de Galicia has resolved the Specific Community Action Plan and granted €2,996,147.92 to neighborhood associations, water user communities, and rural women’s associations throughout Galicia. The decision, adopted via the Resolution of August 13, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Galicia number 167, of September 3, 2026 (p. 47825), with the official reference CVE-DOG: usvvl1g8-b8a6-wwq8-iwx3-xada7nayvnp7.

A plan with two lines of aid

The grants are processed under a competitive bidding regime under the Order of March 10, 2026, which established the regulatory bases and the call for the year 2026 (Official Gazette of Galicia number 52, of March 18), under procedure code PR487A. The budget credit amounts to a maximum of €3,000,000, charged to application 05.04.141A.781.0 (project code 2016 00375) of the general budgets of the Autonomous Community for 2026.

The total amount is divided between two lines:

  • Line 1 (conditioning, renovation, and expansion works for premises and improvement of community water supplies): €2,590,964.85.
  • Line 2 (acquisition of basic equipment for premises, furniture, computer, acoustic, and audiovisual equipment): €405,183.07.

Who are the beneficiaries

Beneficiaries may include neighborhood associations, confederations, federations, or unions of neighborhood associations, water user communities, and rural women’s associations in Galicia that meet the requirements of the bases. Among the entities listed in the annexes of the resolution are, for example:

  • As Eiroas Neighborhood Association (kitchen renovation, €4,998.07).
  • Chaín-Gondomar Water User Community (replacement of piping and equipment, €6,240.00).
  • Rural Women’s Association of the parish of Furco (renovation and equipment of the social center, €4,820.64).
  • As Mariñas Water User Community (pump in the Toural tank, €13,613.71).
  • Tourós Neighborhood and Cultural Association (equipment for the social center, €1,565.99).

Processing and resolution

The procedure was instructed by the General Directorate of Local Administration, which issued a report on August 7, 2026, and submitted the resolution proposal on August 12. The applications were examined by a Valuation Commission chaired by the Director General of Local Administration, with representation from the territorial delegations of the Xunta, which prepared the proposal through a reasoned minute in its meeting on August 11, 2026.

In addition to the grants, the resolution dismisses the applications that did not reach the minimum score, declares inadmissible those that did not prove the requirements, and accepts the withdrawals submitted. Beneficiary entities have a period of ten days from the notification to communicate the acceptance of the grant and the conditions contained therein.

A boost to local associationism

This resolution represents a direct injection into the associative fabric of all Galicia, which will be able to undertake improvement works on its social premises and renew the equipment necessary for its ordinary operation, as well as repair the infrastructure of community water supplies. This is a commitment to dynamize local life and improve the quality of life in parishes and neighborhoods, in an amount that nears the maximum limit of three million euros provided for in the call.
