Cascajares de la Sierra tenders the lease of its rural estates

The City Council of Cascajares de la Sierra has called for a second tender for the lease of its municipal rural estates via auction, according to the Mayoral resolution of August 31, 2026. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Burgos number 172, dated September 10, 2026, with reference BOPBUR-2026-03749.

The call, processed within the framework of III. Local Administration, offers for lease a set of rural plots for a non-renewable term of five years, which will end in any case on August 31, 2031. This represents an opportunity for the agricultural sector of the region, which may apply to operate these municipal lands through an economic bid.

Object of the contract and surface area

The object of the contract is the lease of rural estates distributed across eight plots, totaling a surface area of 14-61-79 hectares. The plots are distributed among various polygons of the municipal district:

• Polygon 504, plot 5.537: 0-57-90 ha
• Polygon 507, plot 10.895: 4-38-49 ha
• Polygon 507, plot 20.895: 2-85-84 ha
• Polygon 503, plot 25.567: 1-61-33 ha
• Polygon 505, plot 232: 0-98-20 ha
• Polygon 505, plot 231: 2-07-45 ha
• Polygon 505, plot 233: 0-67-01 ha
• Polygon 508, plot 11.052: 1-45-57 ha

Amount and guarantees

The lease fee is set at a minimum amount of 1,500.00 euros per year, upon which bidders must present their economic offer. To participate in the auction, a provisional guarantee deposit of 150.00 euros is required in the La Caixa account ES24 2100 0748 7922 0005 7293.

The documentation is structured into two envelopes: Envelope A, for administrative documentation, which includes proof of legal personality, a responsible declaration of not being subject to any prohibition to contract, and proof of the guarantee; and Envelope B, which contains the economic offer and technical documentation according to the specifications model.

Submission of bids and opening

Bids may be submitted at the City Council of Cascajares de la Sierra, during public office hours on Mondays from 10:00 to 12:00, or at any of the locations provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The deadline is fifteen calendar days starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the provincial gazette.

The contracting committee will be constituted at 11:00 hours on the first business Monday following the end of the bid submission period. The remaining conditions will be published on the city council’s electronic notice board. The announcement is signed by the mayor, Juan Carlos Gutiérrez Portugal, on August 31, 2026.

As this is the second tender, the city council seeks to ensure the awarding of these municipal lands, the leasing of which could provide a boost to local agricultural activity and a source of income for the municipal coffers. Interested parties from the sector have a period of fifteen days to formalize their bids.
