The City Council of Casas de Don Pedro has submitted for public review the economic-financial feasibility study regarding the concession of the service for the mixed residential center and day center “Manuel Labrador Calderón”, a social services contract of great impact for the region. The announcement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 164, dated August 27, 2026, under reference 3329/2026.
The study was initially approved by the municipal plenary on August 19, 2026. The public exhibition will last for one month starting from the day following the publication of the announcement, in accordance with article 247.3 of Law 9/2017, of November 8, on Public Sector Contracts, which transposes European Directives 2014/23/EU and 2014/24/EU into the Spanish legal system.
Object of the Concession
The object of the contract is the management of the mixed residential center and day center “Manuel Labrador Calderón”, a care facility for elderly and dependent persons that provides accommodation and day-stay services in the municipality of Casas de Don Pedro (Badajoz).
The service concession is processed as a social services contract, which requires the prior preparation and approval of an economic-financial feasibility study justifying the sustainability of the private management of the facility.
Period for Allegations and Consultation
During the one-month period, any interested party may examine the study and submit any allegations, suggestions, or claims they deem appropriate. The document will be available through two channels:
- At the municipal offices of the City Council of Casas de Don Pedro, where it can be examined in person.
- On the electronic headquarters of the council, at the address https://sede.casasdedonpedro.es.
If no allegations have been submitted by the end of the period, the agreement will be considered definitively approved, without the need for a new express resolution.
Processing and Signature
The announcement is digitally signed by the mayor, Inmaculada Francisca Vicente García de la Trenada, representing the council. The publication is framed within the Local Administration section of the provincial gazette, under the city councils section.
The concession of the “Manuel Labrador Calderón” residential and day center constitutes one of the social operations of greatest significance planned for the region, as it guarantees the continuity of an essential care service for the elderly and dependent through public-private partnership. Citizen participation in this public information process is key to ensuring that the future management of the facility responds to the real needs of the residents of Casas de Don Pedro and its surroundings.
