Casar de Palomero delegates the awarding of public lighting to the Mayor's Office

The Plenary of the Casar de Palomero City Council authorized on October 8, 2026, the multi-annual expenditure for the works to improve the electrical infrastructure of the municipal outdoor public lighting networks (MIE 2025) and delegated to the Mayor’s Office the budgetary authority to allocate or commit that expenditure through the awarding of the contract. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0199, dated October 16, 2026, Section I - Local Administration, with the official reference BOP-2026-4845.

The operation is processed under file 60/2026 and responds to the call of the MIE-2025 Plan for the improvement of electrical infrastructure, promoted by the Provincial Council of Cáceres through nominative subsidies to local entities included in the reserve list, as stated in the extract of plenary agreements published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0188, dated October 1, 2026 (BOP-2026-4546). A delegation limited to file 60/2026

The plenary agreement does not grant a blank check to the Mayor’s Office: the delegation is expressly limited to file 60/2026 and a maximum amount of 117,583.65 euros, VAT included. Within that ceiling, the delegated body may adapt the amounts to the finally awarded price.

The scope is closed in the following terms:

• Delegated authority: to allocate or commit the expenditure through the awarding of the works contract.
• Affected file: 60/2026, and only that one.
• Maximum authorized amount: 117,583.65 euros, VAT included.
• Permitted adaptation: adjustment of the amounts to the awarded price within the established limits.

Authorized annual payments and limits of the agreement

The expenditure is divided into two fiscal years. The first annual payment amounts to 35,275.10 euros charged to 2026, while the second, of 82,308.55 euros, corresponds to 2027 and is subject to the credit allocated in its respective budget.

The delegation expressly excludes three operations: the increase of percentages, the increase of the maximum amount, and the approval of additional annual payments outside the plenary agreement. Furthermore, the acts issued in the exercise of the delegation must expressly state this condition, and the Plenary shall be informed of the allocation made.

Publication and signing of the announcement

The announcement is published for general knowledge and appears signed in Casar de Palomero on October 9, 2026, by Óscar Fernández Domínguez, Mayor President of the City Council of Casar de Palomero. The document incorporates electronic verification on the portal of the Provincial Council of Cáceres and the verification code BOP-2026-4845, corresponding to page 23623 of the bulletin.

With this formula, the City Council of Casar de Palomero concentrates in the Mayor’s Office the capacity to resolve the award without reconvening the Plenary, a common mechanism to avoid delaying the execution of subsidized investments.
