Por FactBox Admin

The Casar de Cáceres City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres (no. 0164, dated August 27, 2026) the regulatory bases for the call for grants for the acquisition of school supplies for the 2026/2027 academic year, with a maximum total amount of 12,000 euros. The call, signed by the mayor-president Marta Jordán Ordiales, is aimed at families registered in the municipality with children enrolled in the second cycle of early childhood education, primary education, or secondary education.

The aid, which may not exceed 30 euros per student, is granted to cover the purchase of school supplies made in any establishment within the town during the months of August and/or September 2026. The full text of the bases appears in the announcement with reference BOP-2026-4050, while the extract of the call is published with reference BOP-2026-4051 and is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 926535.

Regulatory framework and competent bodies

The call is governed by Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, the General Regulation of the Law on Subsidies (Royal Decree 886/2006), and Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure, among other regulations. It is further supported by the specific Ordinance on financial aid for language learning and school supplies, approved on October 28, 2018, and published in BOP no. 0240 on December 14, 2018.

The processing of the file corresponds to the Employment and Local Development Agent, while the resolution of the procedure corresponds to the Mayor’s Office. The granting of the aid adheres to the principles of publicity, transparency, competition, objectivity, equality, and non-discrimination.

Requirements and documentation

Students, or their legal guardians on their behalf, who meet the following requirements may apply for the grant:

  • Be registered in the municipality of Casar de Cáceres at the beginning of the school year.
  • Be enrolled in the 2026/2027 academic year in the second cycle of early childhood education, primary education, or secondary education.
  • Submit the application using the model in the annex of the call.
  • Provide proof of payment for the acquisition of school supplies in an establishment within the town.

The application must be accompanied by the applicant’s ID (DNI), the bank document with the account number (IBAN), the family book or equivalent and, where applicable, the separation decree with the regulatory agreement. Registration will be verified ex officio by the City Council.

Deadlines and processing

Applications shall be submitted at the City Council’s Entry Registry or through any of the means specified in Article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, within the period between the publication of the summary in the BOP and October 2, 2026. Applications will be processed in strict order of receipt until the budget credit, corresponding to item 2310 48003, is exhausted.

Following the evaluation, a provisional resolution proposal will be formulated, with a 10-day period for allegations, followed by the final proposal. The maximum period for resolution and notification shall be three months, and notifications will be posted on the notice board and on the City Council’s electronic office. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the mayor, or a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Cáceres.

Impact for families

The call for applications represents direct support for hundreds of households in the municipality at a time of high expenditure for families with school-age children. By prioritizing the order of receipt rather than income, the aid seeks to reach those who submit their application earliest with agility; therefore, interested parties are recommended to gather the documentation in advance and submit it as soon as possible within the deadline.
