Carmona sets closed venues and public spaces for the 29N campaign
Por FactBox Admin

The Zonal Electoral Board of Carmona has designated the closed venues and public spaces available for holding campaign events and placing electoral propaganda in Carmona, Mairena del Alcor, El Viso del Alcor, and La Campana, on the occasion of the general elections on November 29, 2026. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville No. 205, dated October 22, 2026, within the Electoral Administration section, in the edict with reference CVE: BOP-SE-2026-205033 (pages 290 to 297).
The edict is signed by Rocío Roldán Ferrandiz, secretary of the Zonal Electoral Board of Carmona (Seville), and is issued “by virtue of what was agreed upon in the file for the general elections to be held on November 29, 2026.” The regulatory authorization is Article 57 of the current Organic Law 5/1985, of June 19, regulating the General Electoral Regime, which requires zonal boards to list the places reserved for the posting of propaganda and for public campaign events in each municipality of their district.
Carmona: five closed venues and thirteen open squares
The municipality of Carmona will have five closed venues, all usable starting at 7:00 PM:
- Assembly hall of the Beato Juan Grande Public School, on Alfonso X El Sabio Street, on business days of the campaign.
- Municipal fair booth of the Badajoz neighborhood, every day of the electoral campaign.
- Assembly hall of the Pedro I Public School, in the area known as “El Barranquillo,” on business days.
- Cervantes Public School, new building, on León de San Francisco Street, on business days.
- Carmona municipal booth, at Paseo de la Feria number 9, on business days.
The board’s secretariat requests that the non-occupation of reserved places be communicated 48 hours in advance “in order to avoid causing prejudice to this administration.” Thirteen spaces are listed as open venues: Plaza Pública de la Barriada de la Paz, Plazuela del Higueral, Alameda Virgen de Gracia, Plaza Extramuros de San Felipe, Plaza Pública de San Antón, Plaza Pública de la Barriada de los Pintores, Plaza Pública de la Barriada Villarosa (Cruz Park), and the squares of San Francisco, Plaza de 8 de Marzo, Plaza de Roma, Plaza Imaginero Eslava, Parque Almedral, Plaza del Palenque, and Plaza de la Constitución.
Banners only on lampposts over five meters high
In Carmona, public road signage will be placed on standing displays, as no parameters have been established, and two areas are reserved: the space between the roads of El Viso del Alcor and the buildings facing the Paseo de Feria, right bank, and the lands of the Carretera de Brenes, left bank. Banners are only authorized on lampposts higher than five meters, using hanging systems and without damaging the urban furniture.
The enabled supports are:
- Calle Sevilla, from number 68 to Magaruz; Paseo de la Cruz del Carmen; Carretera del Viso up to the horse roundabout.
The fixing of posters and banners is expressly prohibited in the area declared as a Historic-Artistic Site, which comprises the entire urban area within the walls, by mandate of article 19.3 of Law 13/1985 of Spanish Historical Heritage.
El Viso del Alcor and La Campana
In El Viso del Alcor, the edict lists twenty roads as public ownership spaces for campaign acts, including calle Italia, avenida de España, calle Reino Unido, avenida del Trabajo, avenida de las Tinajas, calle Fray Pedro de San Cecilio, calle Sol, calle Cañalizo, avenida Piedra del Gallo, calle Tío de las Barbas, calle Tocina, calle Rosario, avenida de Andalucía, calle Carlos Méndez, calle Carlos Cano, avenida 12 de Septiembre, avenida Mairena del Alcor, calle Corredera, avenida Blas Infante, and calle Huerto Ponce. Banners are not authorized at any other point of public ownership.
In La Campana, the Plaza de Andalucía, the Paseillo de los Trabajadores, and the Paseo del Campo are enabled as open venues, and the Casa de la Cultura as a closed venue. Electoral propaganda may be placed in all squares and public roads of the town.
Deadlines, prohibitions, and sanctioning regime
The edict prohibits propaganda using paint on the roadway and in public or private spaces, that which remains permanently adhered to facades, walls, or fences, and the fixing of stickers on urban furniture; non-compliance will lead to sanctioning proceedings in accordance with the Municipal Ordinance on Public Cleaning and Waste, published in the Official Provincial Gazette no. 73, of March 29, 2007. The removal of posters and banners is the responsibility of parties, federations, coalitions, and groups: in Carmona, it is set at one week from the holding of the elections, and in the general articles at ten days from the day following the vote.
It is further reminded that, according to Article 93 of Organic Law 5/1985, there may be no electoral propaganda during the voting process, neither in the polling stations nor in their vicinity; therefore, it is recommended not to place posters on lampposts visible from the entrances and to remove them before election day.
The electoral calendar thus enters its logistical phase: the parties running in these four municipalities already have the closed list of spaces where rallies may be held and posters may be pasted, and any use of other locations is expressly forbidden and subject to sanction.
