Carcaboso opens its public roads catalog for a month of allegations
Por FactBox Admin

The Carcaboso City Council has opened the public information period for its Catalogue of Public Paths, provisionally approved by the plenary session in the ordinary meeting on September 25, 2026. The announcement is published in Section I (Local Administration) of the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0210, dated November 3, 2026, with official reference CVE BOP-2026-5121 and the signature of the mayor-president, Luis César Santos de la Rúa, dated in Carcaboso on October 27, 2026.
This procedure makes the catalogue a document open for consultation and neighborhood challenge before its final approval. The plenary agreement was adopted in the same ordinary session on September 25 in which the corporation gave the initial green light to other municipal files, including a budget modification via an extraordinary credit of 7,837.03 euros destined for replacement investments in public lighting, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Cáceres no. 0191, dated October 6, 2026 (CVE BOP-2026-4658).
One month to examine and appeal
The catalogue will remain open to the public at the town hall for a period of one month, counted from the day following the appearance of the announcement in the provincial gazette and on the notice board of the municipal electronic office. During this period, interested parties may examine the document and submit as many allegations as they deem appropriate.
The enabled channels are:
- In-person consultation at the offices of the Carcaboso City Council.
- Municipal electronic office, via the address https://ayuntamientocarcaboso.sedelectronica.es/info.0.
- Viewer of the Spatial Data Infrastructure of Extremadura (IDEEX), at https://www.ideex.es/IDEEXVisor/.
The catalogue, also regarding cartography
The initially approved version has been incorporated into the IDEEX cartographic viewer, which allows the layout of municipal paths to be overlaid on any cartographic coverage of the region. The consultation is carried out in the “Thematic” section, expanding “Catalogue of Public Paths,” selecting “PROPOSAL for Catalogue of Public Paths,” opening “Catalogues of public paths of Extremadura,” choosing “07_PROPOSAL for CCP of Carcaboso,” and clicking “Accept” twice.
This georeferenced access allows property owners to check on the ground whether their plots border any of the routes included in the proposal and to verify the paths before submitting any objection.
Two scenarios until final approval
The procedure is subject to the result of the public information process:
- Without allegations: the catalog will be definitively approved, and the corresponding notice of definitive approval will be published.
- With allegations: the technical staff of the Regional Ministry of Forest Management and Rural Affairs will report on each of them, which will be upheld or dismissed by agreement of the corporation; subsequently, the plenary will definitively approve the catalog and the corresponding notice will be published.
The effective timeline is thus in the hands of the residents and landowners: the submission of a single written statement obliges the administration to resolve it before the closing of the file.
The relevance of the procedure is direct for the municipality: the catalog determines which rural roads are public and, therefore, which routes are guaranteed for general transit against possible closures or private uses. For the owners of adjacent estates, the one-month period is the only opportunity to discuss layouts, widths, or ownership before the document becomes definitive.
