Carballiño calls for the library assistant exam on November 12

The Carballiño City Council has set November 12, 2026, at 6:30 p.m., for the celebration of the first exercise of the open competitive examination convened to fill a permanent position as Library Assistant in Group C2. The decision, adopted by resolution of the Delegated Department of Personnel under File No. 8235/2025, is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ourense on October 23, 2026, in section IV. Local Entities, with reference R. 2.458.

Thirty admitted and eight definitive exclusions

The resolution approves the definitive list of applicants, closed after the amendment period. A total of 30 people appear as admitted and must present themselves for the exam, while eight others are definitively excluded.

The exclusions correspond to four different causes, which the announcement details person by person:

• María Eugenia Cabrera Delgado: lack of application (M1) and lack of fee (M3).
• Raquel Faro Álvarez: lack of application (M1), lack of ID (M2), and lack of fee (M3).
• Rodrigo Márquez Gómez: lack of application (M1) and lack of fee (M3).
• María Teresa Estévez Pereira, Noelia Felpeto Rodríguez, Noelia Paz Pino, and Ylenia Pérez Pulido: application outside the deadline (M4).
• Ainoa Prado Romero: does not justify the required qualification, the Baccalaureate degree.

The list of admitted candidates includes, among others, Laura Almazán García, Ana Isabel Álvarez Roldán, Brais Calles Alonso, Catarina Cea García, Alberto Coello Fernández, Noa Costas Martín, Miguel Luis De Matos Moreira, Simón Facorro Pérez, Enrique Fernández Carballal, Sonia Fernández Fernández, María Teresa Francisco Teijeiro, David Freire Sixto, Mónica García Hernández, María del Pilar García Rivas, Rosa María González Álvarez, Sandra Lorenzo Rodríguez, Blanca Nieves Loures Miranda, Daniel Montero Arias, Yolanda Otero Barroso, David Otero Fumega, Laura Paz Fentanes, Mónica Pérez Civeira, María Jesús Pérez Freijedo, Antía Rey Pereira, Ángela Rodríguez López, Ana Rodríguez Rodríguez, Javier Taboada Reinoso, Francisco Valeiras González, María José Vázquez Pérez, and Lorena Vieitez Martínez.

Selection Tribunal now definitive

The announcement also confirms the definitive composition of the evaluation body, which maintains the structure of five members, each with a substitute:

• Presidency: Montserrat Casas Cabido, with Pilar do Carmen Saborido Díaz as substitute.
• Member 1: Luís Nieves Alonso, substitute Asperxo Costoyas Riveiro.
• Member 2: Patricia Hernández Estévez, substitute María Jesús Romero Chillón.
• Member 3: Julia Rodríguez Fernández, substitute Gerardo Justo Pazos.
• Secretariat: María Eugenia Pérez Antón, substitute María Xema González Rodríguez.

Examination venue and obligations of candidates

The first exercise of the competitive examination will be held at IES n.º 1 de O Carballiño, located at Rúa de Alberto Vilanova, s/n, 32500, in the municipality of O Carballiño. The call sets the start time at 18:30.

Candidates must arrive provided with their national identity document or an equivalent identification document that proves their identity. The absence of this document may prevent the completion of the test.

One month for the appeal for reversal

The resolution ends the administrative route. An optional appeal for reversal (recurso potestativo de reposición) may be filed before the same body that issued it, within a period of one month counted from the day following its publication in the provincial bulletin, or one may go directly to the judicial route with a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Ourense, within a period of two months.

The publication closes the list phase and starts the countdown to the test. For the 30 admitted candidates, November 12 is the deadline to prepare an exercise that decides access to a fixed C2 position in the City Council of O Carballiño; for the eight excluded, however, the administrative route is exhausted unless an appeal is filed. The process directly affects about thirty people from the municipality and the region competing for a single position in the municipal library service.
