The Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Cantabria has resolved to grant 4,996,486.33 euros in aid to 104 agricultural holding owners under the Improvement Plan 2026, intended for productive modernization and improvement investments. The complete list of beneficiaries is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 210, dated November 2, 2026, in section 6 on subsidies and aid, with official reference CVE-2026-8498.
Shared funding between EAFRD and the autonomous community

The financing percentage applied to the files is 57% charged to the regional Government and 43% charged to the European fund, allocated to budget item 05.03.414A.771 of the General Budgets of Cantabria for the 2026 and 2027 financial years.
The aid is part of the CAP Strategic Plan, within Intervention 6841.2, and its legal basis is Order DES/08/2024, of March 8, which establishes the regulatory bases for productive investments linked to climate change mitigation and adaptation and the efficient use of resources. The call for the 2026 financial year was approved by the Resolution of November 28, 2025.

The publication is agreed upon in application of article 12.4 of the order of bases, article 17 of the Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Grants and article 70.2 of Law 5/2018, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The text was signed in Santander on October 26, 2026, by the general secretary of the department, Ángela Ruiz Sáenz, and the grants were awarded by resolution of the counselor on October 19, 2026.
Impact for the sector
The Improvement Plan is the main channel of support for investment in Cantabrian holdings, mostly livestock-oriented, and this call concentrates nearly five million euros in 104 projects. The coincidence of the publication with the closing of the budget year allows beneficiaries to certify the grant and plan investments that, in most cases, exceed 25,000 euros per holding.
