Cantabria announces a call for the appointment of the Senior Official Secretary position

The Official Gazette of Cantabria publishes this Friday, August 21, 2026, in issue number 161, Order PRE/118/2026, of August 17, which announces the provision, through the system of free appointment, of job position number 4952, Senior Official Secretary, assigned to the General Directorate of Social Inclusion, Youth, Families and Equality. The call, identified as Call 2026/12, is reserved for career civil servants of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria, who will have 15 business days to submit their applications.

The order emanates from the Ministry of Presidency, Justice, Security and Administrative Simplification, acting in accordance with Chapter III of Title III of Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10, which is supplementarily applicable in Cantabria, and article 44 of the Cantabria Law 4/1993, of March 10, on Public Service. Position Characteristics

The announced position is classified in subgroup C1/C2, with the body Administrative / General Auxiliary, level 16 and a specific supplement of €15,191.09 per year, under a dedication regime III. According to Annex I of the order, this is a destination reserved for civil servants of the Cantabrian regional Administration.

Requirements and Submission of Applications

Career civil servants of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria who meet the requirements demanded for the performance of the position may participate. Applications, addressed to the Minister of Presidency, Justice, Security and Administrative Simplification, shall be submitted using the model in Annex II at the general, auxiliary, or delegated registries, or through the channels of article 16 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, within 15 business days following the publication in the gazette.

Along with the application, candidates must attach their curriculum vitae with academic degrees, years of service, positions held, and other merits, which must be accredited with original or certified documents when they are not already in the file. The ministry may call for personal interviews to assess the candidates’ aptitudes.

Resolution and Taking Office

The call will be resolved by a resolution from the Minister of Social Inclusion, Families and Equality, which will be published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria within a maximum period of one month from the end of the application period, extendable for one more month. The position may not be declared vacant except by motivated exception when the participants meet the indispensable requirements.

  • The assumption of office shall be within 3 business days if the destination is located in the same town.
  • It shall be one month if it is located in a different town or in the case of reinstatement to active service.
  • The destinations shall be considered voluntary and shall not generate a right to compensation.

Against the order, which exhausts the administrative route, a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Section of the Court of First Instance of Santander within two months, or optionally, a motion for reconsideration within one month. The order is signed, by proxy, by the Director General of the Legal Service, Fernando José de la Fuente Ruiz.
