Cantabria announces the Kitchen Operator exam for 214 candidates

The Government of Cantabria has approved the final list of candidates admitted and excluded from the selection process for entry, via open competition and through opposition, into the professional category of Kitchen Operator belonging to group 2 of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria. The resolution, signed on September 21, 2026, also establishes the composition of the Qualifying Board and announces the holding of the sole eliminatory exercise for October 3, 2026. The agreement is published in the extraordinary Official Gazette of Cantabria number 17, of September 23, 2026, with the reference CVE-2026-7445 (pages 3855 to 3862).

Framework of the call

The process derives from Order PRE/95/2026, of June 2, published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 110, of June 10. Once the period for appeals to the provisional lists has closed, the Ministry of Presidency, Justice, Security and Administrative Simplification now approves the final lists.

The resolution bears the signature of the Director General of Public Service, Isabel Barragán Bohigas, acting by delegation of the Minister (Resolution of December 18, 2018). The text concludes the administrative route.

214 admitted and one excluded

Annex I lists 214 admitted candidates, for meeting the requirements demanded in the call. The last of them appears with omitted data in application of Organic Law 1/2004, of December 28, on comprehensive protection measures against gender-based violence.

Annex II declares one single person definitively excluded, Jaime Martínez Ruiloba, for two reasons:

• Not meeting the required unemployment requirement.
• Not having paid the fees.

Qualifying Board

The selection body is configured with the following members:

• Chairperson titular: Rafael Rodríguez Hoyo; substitute: María Diego Bergés.
• Titular members: Nuria Castillo González, Mario Husillos Vallejo, Valentín Ovejero García, Eloy Galdeano López and Natalia Ruiz Cano.
• Substitute members: Jesús Lilio Gutiérrez Díaz, María del Pilar Mazas Márquez, Carlos José Pérez Seco, Juan Carlos Freire Gómez and Celia Herrán González.
• Secretary titular: Beatriz Pérez Teja; substitute: María Isabel Sota Lavín.

Single exam and classroom distribution

The sole eliminatory exercise will be held on October 3, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. in the building of the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences of the University of Cantabria, located at Avenida de los Castros s/n, Santander. The roll call will take place at 5:15 p.m. and candidates must attend provided with a valid National Identity Document.

The classroom distribution is as follows:

• Classroom 1, level minus two floor: from Abascal Martínez, Anabel to Lecue García, Marta.
• Classroom 3, level minus one floor: from León Flores, Heidy Melissa to Zeggoud Achadmi, Hanane.

Deadlines and means of appeal

An appeal against the resolution may be filed before the Social Section of the Court of First Instance of Santander within two months starting from the day following its publication. The text orders its transfer to the Official Gazette of Cantabria and its subsequent inclusion on the public employment website of the Government of Cantabria.

The publication of the final lists closes the admission phase and concentrates the entire selection process into a single eliminatory test on October 3. For the 214 admitted applicants, the margin is minimal: barely ten days to confirm classroom, call time, and supporting documentation.
