Por FactBox Admin

The Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of Cantabria has announced the 2026 grants destined for Agricultural Professional Organizations and Agricultural Cooperatives of the community for collaborating in the completion of applications for aid lines funded by the EAGF (European Agricultural Guarantee Fund) and the EAFRD (European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development) within the framework of the Common Agricultural Policy. The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime and its summary is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 165, of August 27, 2026, by means of the Resolution of August 20, 2026 (reference CVE-2026-6716).

The call is framed within Order MED/8/2022, of February 23, which establishes the regulatory bases for this aid (published in the BOC nº 43, of March 3, 2022). The summary is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier BDNS 925841.

Beneficiaries and purpose

Legally constituted agricultural professional organizations and agricultural cooperatives of Cantabria that have carried out the activities contemplated in the fourth section of the call resolution may be beneficiaries. Entities that fall under any of the circumstances set out in article 12.2 of the Subsidies Law of Cantabria are excluded.

The purpose is to subsidize the collaboration of these entities in the completion of applications for the aid lines funded by the EAGF and the EAFRD corresponding to the 2026 call, included in the CAP Single Application.

Amount and distribution

The global amount of the call may not exceed 115,000 euros, charged to the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria for 2026, distributed across two budgetary applications:

  • 2026.05.03.414A.481 — Agricultural Professional Organizations. Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Management: maximum amount of €100,000.
  • 2026.05.03.414A.473 — Agricultural Cooperatives. Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) Management: maximum amount of €15,000.

Deadline and submission

Applications, addressed to the Minister of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, María Jesús Susinos Tarrero, shall be submitted to the General Electronic Registry of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria or any other electronic registry provided for in article 134.8 of Law 5/2018, of November 22, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector of Cantabria.

The submission period will be one month starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of Cantabria, that is, from August 28, 2026.

The call reinforces the role of professional organizations and cooperatives as key intermediaries in the management of the Common Agricultural Policy in Cantabria, a strategic sector for the community’s rural economy. The collaboration of these entities in the Single Application is essential for Cantabrian farmers and livestock breeders to access European aid from the EAGF and the EAFRD, therefore this line of grants contributes directly to the sustainability and competitiveness of the regional agricultural fabric.
