Cantabria announces 456,000 euro grants for agricultural advisory services

The Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food of the Government of Cantabria has announced the 2026 grants intended for agricultural associative entities for the provision of advisory services that include the technical-economic management of agricultural holdings within the autonomous community. The call, signed by Minister María Jesús Susinos Tarrero on August 12, 2026, is published in the Official Gazette of Cantabria number 161, dated August 21, 2026, with the reference CVE-2026-6632.
The total budget amounts to 456,000 euros, financed from the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria for 2026. The call is processed under a competitive bidding regime, and its summary is listed in the National Grants Database with the identifier BDNS 925231.
Beneficiaries and requirements
Agricultural cooperatives and agricultural professional organizations recognized as advisory entities by the Directorate General for Rural Development may act as service providers. Affiliation with these entities shall not be a condition for accessing the subsidized services.
Providers must comply with the requirements of Commission Regulation (EU) No 702/2014 of June 25, 2014:
- be micro-enterprises or small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) active in the agricultural sector, or young farmers;
- not be subject to a pending recovery order following a previous decision by the European Commission declaring an aid illegal and incompatible with the internal market;
- not be companies in crisis according to Article 2.14 of the aforementioned Regulation.
Furthermore, the providing entity may not incur any causes of incompatibility or prohibition for obtaining grants provided for in Cantabria Law 10/2006, of July 17, on Cantabria Grants.
Amount and financing
The allocation is divided between two budgetary applications of the General Budgets of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria for 2026:
- 05.03.414A.773, with a maximum of 150,000 euros;
- 05.03.414A.782, with a maximum of 306,000 euros.
The maximum total amount is 456,000 euros. Credit transfers from one item to another are permitted if there are surplus funds in one and a shortage in the other, with the appropriate modifications to the expenditure file prior to the granting resolution.
The regulatory bases are set out in Order MED/28/2017, of June 27, published in the BOC number 133, of July 11, 2017.
Deadline and submission
Applications, addressed to the head of the Ministry of Rural Development, Livestock, Fisheries and Food, shall be submitted via the General Electronic Registry of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of Cantabria or at the locations established in article 134.8 of the Cantabria Law 5/2018, of November 22, on the Legal Regime of the Government, the Administration and the Institutional Public Sector.
- The submission period is fifteen business days starting from the day following the publication of the summary in the Official Gazette of Cantabria.
- Only one application per entity will be admitted.
- The model in Annex I of the Resolution shall be used, together with the documentation from article 6 of Order MED/28/2017.
The call reinforces public support for the Cantabrian agricultural associative fabric and the incorporation of young farmers, facilitating technical-economic advice for holdings at a key moment for the modernization and viability of the region’s primary sector.
