Canovelles, Monistrol, and el Maresme open municipal job banks

The Official Gazette of the Province of Barcelona (BOPB) of August 25, 2026, publishes three calls for selective processes and municipal job banks. The city councils of Canovelles and Monistrol de Montserrat and the Maresme County Council are opening processes for technical staff, administrative assistants, and senior engineers, with application deadlines currently active.

The three calls are published in compliance with Decree 214/1990, of July 30, of the Regulations for personnel in the service of local entities, and the basic regulations for public employees. The processes are conducted via open competition or open competitive examination (concurs-oposición) and provide for the creation of job banks to cover temporary or permanent needs.

Canovelles: multipurpose technician job bank

The Canovelles City Council, by Mayoral Decree no. 2026-1310, of July 28, 2026, has approved the call and the rules to establish a job bank for Multipurpose Technician personnel, Subgroup A2, through a competitive examination system. The job bank will have a maximum validity of three years from the completion of the process.

• Application deadline: 20 non-extendable business days from publication in the DOGC.
• Requirements: diploma/university degree, preferably in social or legal sciences, and C1 level of Catalan.
• Submission: electronically via the electronic office or at the General Registry of the City Council.
• Fee: exempt from payment according to fiscal ordinance no. 20.

Monistrol de Montserrat: administrative assistant position

The Monistrol de Montserrat City Council, by Mayoral Decree 2026DECR000513, of May 28, 2026, calls for one administrative assistant position as a full-time career civil servant, included in the 2026 Public Employment Offer. The process will be conducted via open competitive examination and provides for the creation of a job bank for interim appointments.

• Number of positions: 1
• Annual specific supplement: €6,729.28
• Working hours: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday
• Examination fees: €25 (exempt for unemployed persons with DONO)
• Deadline: 20 business days from the last publication in the DOGC, BOPB, and BOE

El Maresme: extension for the senior engineer

The Maresme County Council, by presidency decree no. 694/2026, of August 24, 2026, has extended the application deadline for the selective process for one senior technician position (Subgroup A1), assigned to the Senior Engineer (CCM126) workstation of the Climate Action and Territory Area. As no applications had been submitted, the deadline has been extended by 10 calendar days.

• New deadline: until September 4, 2026, inclusive.
• The regulatory bases remain fully in force.

These three calls offer public employment opportunities in the province of Barcelona, with profiles ranging from administrative assistant to senior engineer. Interested parties must consult the full terms and conditions and respect the deadlines, some of which, such as the one for Maresme, have already been extended to encourage participation.
