Cangas displays the collection list for the August home assistance grant

The Cangas City Council has approved the list for the collection of the public price for the provision of the Municipal Home Help Service (SAF) corresponding to the month of August 2026. The decision was adopted by the Mayor’s Office-Presidency through a resolution dated September 17, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) on Monday, September 21, 2026, number 181. The announcement opens a voluntary payment period extending from September 24 to November 24, 2026.

The resolution approves the list under the corresponding Regulatory Ordinance of the Public Price, that is, the municipal regulation that sets the rates that users pay for the service. The text appears in the Local Administration section, Municipal heading, under the title “Approval, public exhibition, and collection of the SAF collection list August 2026,” within the council’s Collection section.

The publication in the provincial gazette is not a simple informative formality: it produces the effects of express collective notification, as provided for in article 102.3 of Law 58/2003, of December 17, General Tax Law, and also those of a collection announcement according to article 24 of Royal Decree 939/2005, of July 29, which approves the general collection regulation. This means that the announcement replaces individual communication to the families using the service.

Fifteen business days of public exhibition

Starting from the day following the publication of the announcement in the gazette, the list will remain open to the public for 15 business days. Within this period, interested parties may examine the file and present any claims and appeals they deem appropriate.

The calendar established by the resolution is as follows:

• Publication of the announcement: September 21, 2026, in BOPPO number 181.
• Start of public exhibition: the day following publication.
• Duration of exhibition: 15 business days.
• Voluntary collection period: from September 24 to November 24, 2026.
• Account charge for direct debits: September 25, 2026.

Voluntary collection and bank direct debit

The charge for direct debits in the accounts of the users will be carried out on September 25, 2026, one day after the voluntary period begins. Those who have set up direct debit payment do not need to take any additional action to pay the August monthly fee.

If the voluntary period passes without payment being made, the executive procedure will begin, with the claim and demand for surcharges, interest, and other corresponding concepts, in accordance with the provisions of Law 58/2003, General Tax Law. Claims and appeal for reversal

An appeal for reversal may be filed against the resolution and against the collection list itself before the Mayor’s Office of the Cangas City Council. The deadline is one month starting from the day following the end of the public exhibition period, without prejudice to the fact that interested parties may present any other appeal they deem appropriate.

The list directly affects families receiving the municipal home care service, a benefit aimed at elderly and dependent persons. Publication in the official bulletin makes the announcement a valid notification, such that the deadlines begin to run for all users without the need for individual communication, making it especially relevant to review the list within the fifteen business days of exhibition.
