Candeleda allocates 3,000 euros to reward academic excellence at the Candavera institute

The Candeleda City Council has announced academic excellence awards for students of the Candavera Secondary Education Institute who completed Baccalaureate, Compulsory Secondary Education, or Basic Vocational Training during the 2025-2026 academic year, with a total endowment of 3,000 euros. The call for applications is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila on September 21, 2026, under number 1838/26, and the application period will remain open until October 31, 2026.

The call is approved by Mayoral Resolution No. 2026-0521, dated September 10, 2026, signed by Mayor Carlos Montesino Garro. It is processed as a grant under a competitive bidding process pursuant to articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, a regulation that requires the summary of the call to be published in the provincial gazette and in the National Grants Database.

The announcement is identified in the state system with the code BDNS 928885, where the full text of the rules can be consulted. The City Council also makes the documentation available to families on its electronic office.

Three award levels according to the stage completed

The distribution of the 3,000 euros is structured into three categories, one for each educational stage taught at the center:

• 3 awards of 800.00 euros each for the three best academic records in Baccalaureate.
• 3 awards of 150.00 euros each for the three best academic records in Compulsory Secondary Education.
• 1 award of 150.00 euros for the best academic record in Basic Vocational Training.

In total, seven students from the Candavera Secondary Education Institute will receive financial aid, with an average amount of 428.57 euros per beneficiary.

Who can apply for the awards

Students who were enrolled during the 2025-2026 academic year at the Candavera Secondary Education Institute and who have passed any of the following levels may apply for these awards:

• Second year of Baccalaureate, regardless of the modality studied.
• Fourth year of Compulsory Secondary Education, regardless of the elective subjects chosen.
• Second year of Basic Vocational Training.

The stated objective of the call is to recognize students who have excelled in their academic results obtained at the center during the 2025-2026 academic year.

Deadline, funding, and submission of applications

The application period will run from the day following the publication of the call in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ávila until October 31, 2026. Interested parties must formalize their request according to the forms available on the electronic office of the Candeleda City Council.

The total amount of 3,000.00 euros is financed through budget item 3261/48900 of the municipal budget for the 2026 fiscal year. The award resolution shall be the responsibility of the City Council, which will evaluate the academic records submitted by the applicants.

The measure arrives at the start of the school year following the one evaluated and directly affects families in the municipality with children in the institute, who will be able to offset part of the expenses associated with continuing their studies. For the Candeleda City Council, the call for applications reinforces the public recognition of academic effort across the three stages taught in the municipality, from compulsory secondary education (ESO) to Baccalaureate and Basic Vocational Training.
