Canarias reparte 60.000 euros entre seis asociaciones de consumidores para 2026

The General Directorate of Trade and Consumption of the Government of the Canary Islands has definitively resolved the 2026 call for grants for federations and associations of consumers and users, with a distribution of 60,000 euros among six entities. The decision is contained in Resolution No. 3728, of October 2, 2026, signed by the general director David Mille Pomposo and published in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands (BOC) No. 217, of October 29, 2026, within section III. Other Resolutions. The amount is paid from budget application 15.05.492A.480.02, P.I.L.A.154G1669 “Grant to Consumer and User Associations and Federations.”

From the March call to the definitive resolution

The procedure begins with the bases approved by the Order of October 8, 2021, of the Ministry of Tourism, Industry and Trade (BOC No. 213, of October 15), and the call made by Resolution No. 145/2026, of March 16 (BOC No. 60, of March 27), with a period of 15 business days to submit applications. The grant is processed under a competitive bidding regime, in accordance with Article 22 of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, and Decree 36/2009, of March 31.

The total allocation is 60,000 euros, distributed as 50,000 euros charged to 2026 and 10,000 euros charged to 2027. The Evaluation Commission, appointed by Resolution No. 592/2026, of August 14, issued a report on September 9, 2026; the provisional resolution (No. 648/2026, of September 9) was later rectified by Resolution No. 654/2026, of September 11, which corrected a material error in the approved investment amounts.

Execution until March 2027 and justification in April

For beneficiaries who requested advance payment, the resolution modifies the deadlines for the 2026 annual period, for both annual and multi-annual grants:

  • Execution deadline for the subsidized project: March 31, 2027.
  • Justification deadline: April 20, 2027.
  • Justification method: simplified justification account, including an activity report and an economic report.

Those who accepted the grant during the provisional phase and have not had their amount modified should not repeat the acceptance or the request for advance payment. The funding from the Government of the Canary Islands and its logo must appear in the dissemination of activities, in accordance with Article 12 of Decree 36/2009.

One month for the appeal for reversal

This act concludes the administrative process. An optional appeal for reversal may be filed before the Counselor of Economy, Industry, Commerce, and the Self-Employed within one month from the day following its notification, or a contentious-administrative appeal may be filed before the Contentious-Administrative Chamber of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria of the High Court of Justice of the Canary Islands within two months.

The closing of this call guarantees the funding of consumer service offices and services in the islands for the next fiscal year, including claims regarding banks, insurance, and mortgage loans, areas that concentrate a large part of citizen inquiries. The published amounts allow organizations to plan their information campaigns and staffing until March 2027, with the obligation to certify each expense via invoice and proof of payment in the name of the beneficiary entity.
