Canary Islands publishes the complementary list of new permanent senior degree holders

The General Directorate of the Civil Service of the Ministry of Presidency, Public Administrations, Justice and Security has made public the complementary list of candidates selected in the competitive examinations for entry, via the general open access system, as permanent contractual staff of the Administration of the Autonomous Community of the Canary Islands. The publication is carried out through two resolutions dated August 6, 2026, signed by the Vice-Minister of Administrations and Transparency, Antonio Llorens de la Cruz, and disseminated in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands number 167, of August 20, 2026.

The resolutions are part of the execution of Annex II of Decree 115/2022, of May 20, which approves the Extraordinary Public Employment Offer for the stabilization of temporary and long-term non-permanent employment. The tests were convened by resolution of December 21, 2022, published in the BOC number 254, of December 28, 2022, and are aimed at the professional category of Higher Degree Holder (Group I), both in its general specialty and in the Law Area.

Two approved complementary lists

The first resolution, corresponding to the general category of Higher Degree Holder (Group I), approves the complementary list submitted by the Evaluation Commission on June 17, 2026. The second, referring to the Law Area, contains the list submitted on July 6, 2026. In both cases, job positions are offered to the selected individuals, who must rank them according to their preference.

In the general category of Higher Degree Holder (Group I), eight selected people are listed:

• Helenca Beatriz Santana Sánchez

Electronic office procedure within ten days

The selected individuals must complete, sign, and submit—solely and exclusively via the electronic office and in a single procedure—their application for job positions, provide the documentation, and make the responsible declarations. The maximum period is ten business days, which begins to count the day following the publication of the resolution in the Official Gazette of the Canary Islands.

• A valid official identity document must be provided, showing both sides.
• Responsible declarations regarding the absence of disciplinary and criminal records must be signed.
• Functional capacity shall be accredited by means of a prior health survey or a responsible declaration, as applicable.
• The certificate of sexual offense records will be required at the time of taking office.

Hearing and forfeiture of rights

Pursuant to Article 50 of Law 2/2025, of June 26, anyone participating in several calls may only acquire the status of permanent contractual staff in one of them. Therefore, those selected in more than one call will be granted a hearing process to choose one, with the understanding that those responding to this offer opt for the present call. Failure to complete the process or to accredit the requirements will result in the forfeiture of the right, and the General Directorate of the Civil Service may request a new complementary list from the Evaluation Commission.

The publication of these complementary lists consolidates the process of stabilizing temporary employment in the Canarian Administration, allowing dozens of professionals with higher education degrees to access permanent positions in the public sector.
