Canal de Isabel II tenders the transport of hazardous waste

Canal de Isabel II, S. A., M. P. has made public the call for tenders, via open procedure, for the transport and management services of hazardous waste produced at its facilities. The announcement, signed on August 13, 2026, by the Deputy Director of Procurement, Gonzalo José Bardón Fernández-Pacheco, is published in the Official Gazette of the Community of Madrid number 201, dated August 24, 2026, in the announcements section of the Ministry of Environment, Agriculture, and Interior.

The contract, with file number 73-2026, is processed through an open procedure with a plurality of award criteria and ordinary processing. The estimated value amounts to 2,359,128.06 euros (excluding VAT), while the base tender budget reaches a total amount of 1,946,280.66 euros.

Object and scope of the contract

The object of the contract is the provision of transport and management services for hazardous waste generated at the facilities of the public water company of Madrid. The service will be executed in the Community of Madrid (NUTS code ES300) and is not divided into lots.

Execution period: three (3) years, with the possibility of an extension for one more year.
Contract type: services.
Definitive guarantee: 5 per 100 of the award amount.

Requirements and submission of bids

The economic and technical solvency of the bidders shall be accredited in accordance with the provisions of section 5 of Annex I of the Particular Administrative Clauses Specifications. Non-Spanish companies from European Union Member States that are not registered in Spain, as well as foreign companies, must comply with the provisions of clauses 5 and 11.7 of Chapter II of the specifications.

Submission deadline: September 21, 2026, until 23:59 hours.
Place of submission: Electronic Tendering Platform of the Community of Madrid.
Language of bids: Spanish.
Opening of bids: October 6, 2026, at 9:30 hours, by electronic means and without a public act, in accordance with article 157.4 of the LCSP.
