Campillo de Llerena aprueba ayudas de material escolar y premios al expediente

The Campillo de Llerena City Council has approved the regulatory bases for the call for grants for the acquisition of school materials for Early Childhood and Primary Education students, as well as the award for the best academic record, for the 2026-2027 school year. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Badajoz number 172, dated September 9, 2026, via announcement 3530/2026, signed by the mayor, José Antonio Lianes.

The measure seeks to assist with the economic expenditure that the start of the school year entails for families registered in the municipality, which the council considers a fundamental pillar for the integral development of individuals. The grants are aimed at students of the Eulalia Pajuelo Educational Center of Campillo de Llerena, while the awards for the best academic record recognize registered students who have pursued their studies in public educational centers.

Amounts and Budget

The call provides for a fixed grant of 30.00 euros per student enrolled in Early Childhood and Primary Education at the municipality’s school center. To cover these grants, a budget of 3,000.00 euros has been allocated, charged to budget item 341 48002 of the municipal budget, under the concept “Grants for the acquisition of school materials.”

The award for the best academic record, for students enrolled in public educational centers, is graded according to the stage:

  • Primary Education: 50.00 euros.
  • Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO): 90.00 euros.
  • Baccalaureate: 120.00 euros.

Requirements and Processing

Parents or legal guardians of students who pursue their studies in the 2026-2027 academic year at the Eulalia Pajuelo Educational Center may apply for the grants. To access the grant or the award, several requirements must be met simultaneously:

  • Be registered in the municipality of Campillo de Llerena prior to the date of application (the minor and, where applicable, one of the parents or legal guardian).
  • Be enrolled in the 2026-2027 course in the first or second cycle of Early Childhood Education or in any of the levels of Primary Education.
  • The father, mother, or legal guardian must be up to date with the payment of municipal taxes and fees as of the date of application.
  • School materials must be purchased from bookstores and shops within the town.

Applications shall be submitted at the municipal offices from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM or through the City Council’s electronic office, starting the day after the publication of the bases in the BOP and within a period of one month. The competent body to resolve the applications is the Local Government Board, and payment will be made by bank transfer upon justification of the expense through the corresponding invoice.

Regulatory Framework

The granting of these grants is governed by the provisions of the bases themselves and, for matters not provided for, by the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, Royal Decree 887/2006, of July 21, which approves its Regulation, and the execution bases of the municipal budget for the 2026 fiscal year. The grants are compatible with other financial aid for the same purpose granted by other public administrations.

With this call, the City Council of Campillo de Llerena reinforces its support for the families of the municipality at a time of extraordinary expenditure such as the start of the school year, while recognizing the academic effort of students with prizes that can reach 120 euros in Baccalaureate.
