Por FactBox Admin

The Cambados City Council opens the call for municipal grants for non-profit entities for popular festivals in the year 2026, endowed with 12,000 euros. The extract was published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Pontevedra (BOPPO) number 207, on Tuesday, October 27, 2026, in the Local Administration section, with the reference BDNS 937094 and signed by the mayor, Samuel Lago Ozón, on October 22. Applications may be submitted within fifteen calendar days starting from the day following the publication.
12,000 euros for the local associative fabric
The amount provided for in the 2026 Municipal Budget amounts to 12,000.00 euros, charged to the budgetary application 3380.48900, and represents the maximum obligations that the Council can acquire in this line. The distribution is not fixed: the amount for each entity will result from the score obtained after applying the criteria and the maximum amounts established in the call.
The declared objective is to favor organized neighborhood initiatives through the cultural associations of the municipality, so that they can develop events of a participatory nature and, specifically, their patron saint festivals or traditional popular festivals. The call presents both objectives as a way to promote popular culture and the festive tradition of the council.
Requirements and regulatory framework
The beneficiaries are non-profit cultural entities and associations that meet the requirements set out in the call. The regulatory bases are the General Grant Ordinance of the Cambados City Council, approved by the Plenary in an ordinary session on May 29, 2025, and published in BOPPO number 153, on August 13, 2025.
The procedure is based on Law 38/2003, of November 17, general grants, whose articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a require the publication of the extract and the submission of the full text to the National Grants Database, where the call is accessible with the identifier 937094.
- Deadline: fifteen calendar days from the day following the publication of the extract in the BOPPO, that is, until November 11, 2026.
- Publicity of acts: notice board of the Cambados City Council, hosted on the municipal electronic headquarters, in accordance with article 26 of Law 38/2003 and article 45.1.b of Law 39/2015, of October 1.
- Full text: available on the state grants website under the reference 937094.
- Verification: the document carries the secure code R9Q21W5X5NRBARJR.
Another line opened on the same day for sports
The same edition of the bulletin includes a second call from the Cambados City Council, in this case for sports entities and elite athletes, with BDNS 937128 and a budget of 80,000.00 euros in application 3410.48900, of which a maximum of 1,500 euros are reserved for elite athletes. The deadline in this case is shorter, ten calendar days, and the rules are the same: the ordinance approved in May 2025 and published in August.
The two lines outline a distribution of municipal funds that prioritizes sports —almost seven times more money— over popular festivals, although the festivals line is specifically directed at the neighborhood movement organized around patron saint festivities.
Why it matters
For the commissions and associations that sustain the patron saint festivals of Cambados, this is the direct route for municipal funding: 12,000 euros distributed through competitive bidding and scoring. The coincidence with the sports call concentrates the City Council’s main offer of grants at the end of the year into a single day, with a tight deadline of fifteen calendar days that forces entities to prepare the documentation immediately.
