Camas opens the modification of the waste collection fee for public consultation
Por FactBox Admin

The Camas City Council has provisionally approved the modification of the Fiscal Ordinances Regulating the Fees for the Collection Service and the Treatment and Disposal Service of urban solid waste. The agreement was adopted by the municipal Plenary in an ordinary session held on September 30, 2026, at the proposal of the Delegate of Finance, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 195, of Wednesday, October 7, 2026, with the official reference BOP-SE-2026-195002. The modification affects the bill paid by all residents for these two municipal services.
Provisional approval and public exhibition process
The announcement, processed under file 13142/2026 and headed as “Ordinance Modifications,” details the procedure that opens from this point forward:
- The agreements are provisional in nature and are displayed to the public via an announcement on the City Council notice board and in the Official Gazette of the Province.
- The public information period is thirty days, during which interested parties may examine the file and submit any claims they deem appropriate.
- The designated location for consulting the file is the Municipal Treasury.
- If no claim is submitted, the provisional agreements will be understood as definitively adopted, without the need for a new pronouncement by the Plenary.
The document appears electronically signed by the Mayor-President of the municipality, Víctor Manuel Ávila Muñoz, and is located on page 5 of the gazette, within the Local Administration section.
Which fees are being modified
The proposal from the Delegate of Finance refers to two distinct municipal tax figures, both linked to the waste cycle:
- The fee for the Collection Service of urban solid waste.
- The fee for the Treatment and Disposal Service of urban solid waste.
The announcement does not detail the amounts or the new applicable rates in this publication, which are contained in the file deposited at the Municipal Treasury and available to interested parties during the appeals period. The modification is processed according to the procedure provided for local fiscal ordinances in Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, which approves the revised text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries.
The waste bill, already in the collection period
The modification arrives while the Camas garbage bill is in the voluntary payment period for the second half of 2026. The Provincial Body for Economic and Fiscal Assistance (OPAEF), which is delegated the collection management of taxes and public prices for numerous Sevillian municipalities, included Camas among the city councils with “R. Garbage and Waste Disposal Housing (2nd Half 2026)” and “R. Garbage and Waste Disposal Premises (2nd Half 2026)” in its collection announcement published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville number 161, of Thursday, August 20, 2026 (reference BOP-SE-2026-161001).
Impact for residents
The decision directly affects the pockets of all households in Camas, as the two modified taxes apply to the homes and premises of the municipality and are collected on a semi-annual basis. The thirty-day period starting with the publication on October 7 is the only formal window for taxpayers to consult the file at the Municipal Treasury and submit allegations before the modification is definitively closed.
