Camas announces grants of up to 100 euros for preschool books.

The Camas City Council has announced grants for the purchase of textbooks for the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years) corresponding to the 2026-2027 school year, aimed at socio-economically disadvantaged families. The call, identified in the National Subsidies Database as BDNS 923684, is published this Friday, August 14, 2026, in the Official Gazette of the Province of Seville (No. 157, p. 119) through extract No. 218785.

The extract is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Subsidies Law, and its full text can be consulted in the National Subsidies Database. The allocation is charged to budget credit 0000.231.4.480.01, with a maximum total amount of €7,000, and each student may receive up to €100. The award will be governed by Base 20 on the execution of the Municipal Budget, by the Order of the Regional Ministry of Equality, Health and Social Policies, of October 10, 2013, by Royal Decree 887/2006, and by the Consolidated Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries (Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5).

Beneficiaries and requirements

The mother, father or person holding legal guardianship of the minor may apply, provided that the family meets the required conditions:

• Be registered in the municipal census and reside in Camas for at least 6 months prior to the application date.
• That the income of the family unit between January and June 2026 does not reach 95% of the Interprofessional Minimum Wage (SMI) for two people, increased by 15% for each cohabiting member; the announcement takes as a reference the SMI of €1,221 gross monthly in 14 payments, up to €17,094 gross annual.
• Not being involved in the circumstances that prevent obtaining beneficiary status under article 13 of Law 38/2003, except for the exemption provided for in article 21.8 of the grants regulations.

The following are considered members of the family unit: the main breadwinners, minor unemancipated sons and daughters living in the home, and the ascendants of the mother or father who prove their residence there.

Purpose and subsidizable books

The purpose of the grant is the acquisition of textbooks for boys and girls enrolled in the locality’s public educational centers in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education (3-6 years), for the 2026-2027 academic year. Only books established and approved by the school at the beginning of the 2026-2027 school year for its curricular projects, and which are not financed by the corresponding Regional Ministry of the Andalusian Government, are considered eligible for subsidy.

Deadline and submission of applications

Applications will be formalized using the form in Annex II of the call, addressed to the mayor-president of the City Council, and may be submitted at the municipal entry registry or by any of the means in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations. The deadline is 10 business days from the publication of the extract in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Seville. The announcement, signed in Camas on 6 August 2026, appears signed by the mayor-president, Víctor Manuel Ávila Muñoz, and the general secretary, Encarnación Coveñas Peña.

With this call, the Camas City Council extends its support to families with fewer resources to a stage, the second cycle of Infant Education, which is not covered by the book free-of-charge programs of the Junta de Andalucía for other levels.
