Camarles definitively approves the works around the railway station
Por FactBox Admin

The Camarles City Council has definitively approved the works project “Interventions in the railway environment of the Camarles station,” with an execution budget of 392,100.50 euros including VAT, and the list of assets and rights that must be occupied and expropriated. The agreement was adopted by the Local Government Board on October 16, 2026, and is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on October 22, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-09742.
The approved text resolves in a single act the two administrative components that are usually separate: the technical and economic validation of the project and the declaration of the land necessary to execute it. The document is signed by the acting mayor, Maria Goretti Tortajada Bové, with an electronic signature date of October 19, 2026, and bears the validation of the local entity’s Electronic Office.
A budget of 392,100.50 euros including VAT
The project was drafted by Joan Miquel Bonet Durà, and the approved economic breakdown is as follows:
- Material execution budget: 324,050.00 euros.
- Value added tax (21%): 68,050.50 euros.
- Total project execution budget, VAT included: 392,100.50 euros.
The agreement of the Local Government Board closes the municipal processing of the project, such that the work is in a position to move to the contracting and execution phase once the publication and notification procedures established by the same agreement are completed.
24,152 square meters affected, all belonging to ADIF
The second point of the agreement definitively approves the list of affected assets and rights. The particularity is that the only owner listed is the Administración de Infraestructuras Ferroviarias (ADIF), with NIF Q2801660H, regarding two properties:
- Cadastral reference 3665201CF0136F0001FR, with 7,746 square meters and full ownership affectation.
- Cadastral reference 43183A015090090000JU, with 32,363 square meters and full ownership affectation.
The total expropriation area is 24,152 square meters, which includes only part of the two previous cadastral references; the map delimiting it is attached as an annex to the file. The total initial valuation of the affected assets is 95,669.91 euros, accompanied by an appraisal report incorporated into the file.
Publication, notification, and dissemination of the agreement
The third and fourth points of the resolution establish where the agreement must be made public and who must be notified individually:
- Publication in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona.
- Publication in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya.
- Publication in the local information bulletin and on the corporation’s electronic office.
- Publication in a provincial dissemination newspaper.
- Individual notification to the directly affected persons appearing in the list of assets and rights.
This dual path, official publication and personal notification, is what ensures that any rights holder of the land can become aware of the impact and submit any allegations or reservations they deem appropriate in defense of their property.
Background in the same railway environment
The action in Camarles is added to other railway files published in recent months in the provincial bulletin. On September 30, 2026, the Official Bulletin of the Province of Tarragona opened a public information period, for a term of fifteen business days, for the compulsory expropriation file 439ADIF2698, motivated by the construction project works for the adaptation of platforms at the stations of Tortosa, Camp-redó, Camarles-Deltebre, and l’Ampolla-Perelló, in the municipality of Tortosa (CVE 2026-08923). This is, however, a different file, processed by the General Directorate of the Railway Sector of the Ministry of Transport and Sustainable Mobility at the request of ADIF-Alta Velocidad.
Impact on the municipality
The intervention in the surroundings of the Camarles station arrives with the project already closed and the lands identified, which gives the municipality a relatively defined construction schedule and a known investment figure: 392,100.50 euros. For the residents and railway users, the news is twofold: on one hand, the improvement of a station environment that serves as the gateway to the municipality; on the other, the certainty that the impact on the land falls on the railway infrastructure and not on private individuals, since the sole owner in the list of assets is ADIF.
