Por FactBox Admin

The City Council of Calzada de Calatrava has made the Service Regulations of the “SOLETE” Municipal Nursery School final, as no claims were submitted during the public exhibition period. The regulation, initially approved by the Plenary on July 6, 2026, is published in full in the Official Gazette of the Province of Ciudad Real number 167, dated September 1, 2026.

The text regulates admission, schedules, internal rules, and the rights and duties of students, families, and center staff, directly affecting families in the municipality. Announcement number 2793 is signed by the acting mayor, Ángela Ruiz Espinosa.

A regulation that becomes final

The initial plenary agreement was submitted for public information via an announcement published in the BOP of Ciudad Real number 129, dated July 9, 2026, on the City Council’s notice board, and on the municipal website. Since no objections were registered, and in accordance with Article 49 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of Local Regime, the agreement was automatically elevated to final status.

The “SOLETE” Municipal Nursery School, located at Calle Cervantes, 24, serves the first cycle of Early Childhood Education, from 4 months to 3 years. The regulations are based on the regional legislation of Castilla-La Mancha, Decree 88/2009, and Organic Law 2/2006 on Education, and the resolution of the Ministry of Education regarding admission to nursery schools will be applied supplementarily.

Places and admission criteria

The center has 30 places distributed across three classrooms, with minimums for their opening:

  • 8 places in the 0-1 year classroom (enrollment from 4 months; minimum of 3 students).
  • 15 places in the mixed 1-3 year classroom (minimum of 8 students).
  • 15 places in the 2-3 year classroom (minimum of 10 students).

One place per classroom is reserved for cases of social urgency and another for enrollments throughout the school year. Selection is carried out through a scale that evaluates risk situations, employment activity, single-parent families, disability, large families, and enrolled siblings, with tie-breaking criteria that include a public draw. Enrollment is formalized for the full course, from September to July, with the payment of 11 monthly installments.

Schedules and services

The center may remain open from 7:00 to 16:00, with different schedules according to age:

  • Children 0-2 years: service from 9:00 to 14:00.
  • Children 2-3 years: schedule from 8:00 to 14:00.
  • Extended schedule from 7:00 to 15:00, with a supplement in the monthly fee.
  • Toy library service from 15:00 to 16:00, with a minimum of 6 children.
  • Dining service, with catering costs for extended schedule users.

The month of August is considered a non-teaching period, and the center may establish a staggered entry during the first twenty days of the course to facilitate adaptation.

Internal regulations and entry into force

The regulations establish the grounds for dismissal, including the repeated non-payment of three consecutive monthly installments, unjustified absence for two weeks, or documentary falsehood. It also establishes the rights of minors, with an express prohibition of any physical or psychological abuse, and the duties of parents or guardians, including the payment of the corresponding fee.

The regulation will enter into force the day following its full publication in the BOP of Ciudad Real. An administrative appeal may be filed against the agreement before the Administrative Chamber of the High Court of Justice of Castilla-La Mancha within a period of two months.

With this regulation, the municipality provides a stable and transparent framework for a service essential for the reconciliation of family and work life, guaranteeing objective criteria for access to places and quality educational care for the youngest children.
