The Calonge i Sant Antoni City Council has definitively approved the construction project for the new pedestrian and bicycle footbridge at the GI-667 bridge, a sustainable mobility action of local interest. The agreement, adopted by the Local Governing Board in an ordinary session on August 13, 2026, was made public via an edict in the Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC) no. 9740, dated August 28, 2026, with official reference CVE-DOGC-A-26233031-2026.
A sustainable mobility work
The project, drafted by the Public Works technical engineer Marc Cucurella i Vila, was presented on April 27, 2026 (entry registry 2026_9463) and has a contract budget of 185,136.61 euros (VAT included). The processed file is 2026/5251.
The objective of the new footbridge is to guarantee a safe and accessible crossing for pedestrians and cyclists at the GI-667 bridge, an infrastructure that connects the municipality and which until now lacked an adequate itinerary for non-motorized mobility. The action is part of local policies to promote walking and cycling.
Publication and administrative procedures
The agreement is made public, in accordance with Article 38 of Decree 179/1995, of June 13, which approves the Regulation of works, activities, and services of local entities, via an edict in three official channels:
- The Official Provincial Gazette (BOP)
- The Official Gazette of the Generalitat de Catalunya (DOGC)
- The City Council’s electronic edicts board
The definitive approval ends the administrative route. Against this resolution, interested parties may file a contentious-administrative appeal before the Contentious-Administrative Court of Girona within a period of two months, or, optionally, a request for reversal before the same body that issued the act within a period of one month. In both cases, the period is counted from the day after the last publication of the edict.
Signature and validity
The edict, dated in Calonge i Sant Antoni on August 20, 2026, is signed by the mayor Jordi Soler i Casals. The official publication of the agreement opens the execution period of the project, which must be materialized in the construction of the footbridge at the GI-667 bridge.
With this action, the municipality advances in improving road safety and the connection of pedestrian and cyclist itineraries, a growing demand in an area with significant tourist influx and daily mobility. The new footbridge will represent a step forward in sustainable mobility and the quality of life for the residents and visitors of Calonge i Sant Antoni.
