Calanda opens the nursing home fee for public consultation

The Plenary of Calanda provisionally approved on October 9, 2026, the modification of the Fiscal Ordinance Regulating the fee for assistance and stay in the nursing home. The agreement is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Teruel no. 198, dated October 15, 2026, under announcement number 2026-3001, and opens a thirty-day period for filing claims. If no allegations are registered, the modification will be definitively approved without the need for a new plenary agreement.

A file processed by municipal services

The modification file was instructed by the competent services of the Entity and approved in an ordinary session of the Plenary held on October 9, 2026. The publication is carried out in compliance with Article 17.2 of the Recast Text of the Law Regulating Local Treasuries, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 2/2004, of March 5, a regulation that governs the public exhibition of fiscal ordinances before their definitive approval.

During the public information period, any interested party may:

• Examine the complete file at the municipal offices of Calanda.
• Consult the documentation at the municipal electronic office, http://calanda.sedelectronica.es.
• Submit any allegations or claims deemed appropriate.

Once the period has elapsed without claims, the provisional agreement will be understood to have been automatically elevated to definitive.

The nursing home fee, along with the water fee

The same Plenary of October 9 provisionally approved another fiscal modification: that of the Fiscal Ordinance Regulating the water distribution fee, which includes connection rights, installation and use of meters and facilities (announcement 2026-3002, same page of the gazette). Both share an identical procedure and a thirty-day period.

The announcement does not detail the new rates nor the amount of the revision: the published text is limited to formalizing the provisional approval and calling for the allegations process, therefore the economic content of the modification can only be known by consulting the file.

An autumn of regulatory revision in Calanda

The revision of the nursing home fee is added to other ordinances that the Calanda City Council has processed in recent weeks:

• Municipal ordinance regulating personal mobility vehicles (PMV), definitively approved after the plenary agreement of July 21, 2026 (announcement 2026-2631).
• Municipal ordinance regulating security and citizen coexistence, elevated to definitive after the agreement of August 17, 2026 (announcement 2026-2632).
• Modification of the Fiscal Ordinance Regulating the fee for bathrooms, showers, swimming pools, sports facilities and other analogous services, definitive since the agreement of July 21, 2026 (announcement 2026-2630).

In the same issue of the bulletin, the neighboring municipality of Foz-Calanda submits for public review the modification of article 16.2 of its fiscal ordinance regarding the waste collection fee (announcement 2026-2996).

The revision directly affects the families using the service, who will see the economic conditions of the stay at the residence updated. The thirty-day period is the only formal window to file objections before the ordinance is finalized, and the file is available to interested parties both at the municipal offices and on the city council’s electronic headquarters.
