Calafell concedeix 8.000 euros a La Xarxa per a activitats del 2026

The Calafell City Council has formalized a nominative grant of 8,000.00 euros to the Associació Cultural La Xarxa to collaborate in the financing of the entity’s activities during the 2026 fiscal year. The agreement was adopted by the Local Governing Board in an ordinary session on August 3, 2026, and is now published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Tarragona on November 4, 2026, with the official reference CVE 2026-10186 and spanning two pages (pp. 1-2).

An agreement approved in August and published in November

The published text reproduces the agreement of the municipal governing body, which approves the signing of the agreement between the Calafell City Council and the cultural entity for the year 2026. The term of the agreement covers the entire 2026 fiscal year, according to the second point of the resolution, and is intended to “collaborate in the financing of the association’s activities,” without the announcement detailing the specific program of activities.

The publication responds to article 20.8 of the General Grants Law 38/2003, of November 17, which requires reporting the summary of the calls for applications. The summary had already appeared in the same gazette on October 16, 2026 (CVE 2026-09489); the new publication of November 4 once again incorporates the full text of the agreement and the appeal notice.

8,000 euros charged to item 400-3340-4800023

The economic file is detailed in four basic pieces of data:

  • Amount granted: 8,000.00 euros.
  • Beneficiary: Associació Cultural La Xarxa of Calafell.
  • Expenditure operation number (RC): 202620008299000.
  • Budgetary application: 400-3340-4800023, named “La Xarxa agreement,” from the 2026 municipal budget.

The processing is also recorded in the National Grants Database, with the identification code BDNS 934669 and the call reference 20260000017S. The agreement orders the decision to be communicated to the Audit and Treasury departments, so that the payment is incorporated into the council’s internal control circuit.

Pending justification and appeal notice

The fourth point of the resolution places a condition on the entity: the Associació Cultural La Xarxa must justify the granted subsidy under the terms of article 25.6 of the General Grants Ordinance of the Calafell City Council. In this case, the announcement does not set deadlines for advance payments or the submission of supporting documentation.

The signing of the agreement is attributed to the deputy mayor Mònica Trepat Saura, expressly authorized by the sixth point of the agreement. The document is signed by the municipal secretary, Alexandre Pallarès Cervilla, dated in Calafell on September 7, 2026, and the full text can be consulted on the council’s electronic notice board.

Against the resolution, which ends the administrative route, the following may be filed:

  • Contentious-administrative appeal before the contentious section of the court of first instance of Tarragona, within a period of two months from the day following the notification.
  • Appeal for reversal, on an optional basis, before the same body that issued it, within a period of one month.

Three more neighborhood entities in the same session

The publication of November 4 is part of a block of agreements from the session of August 3. Along with La Xarxa, the bulletin includes the grant to the AAVV La Muntanya de Mas Romeu, for 4,100.00 euros (BDNS 934608, application 400-3340-4800004), and that of the Associació de Veïns Valldemar, Montmar i Brises, for 2,500.00 euros (application 400-3340-4800019). In all cases, these are nominative grants, meaning they are assigned directly to an entity without competitive bidding.

La Xarxa’s figure is the highest in this associative package, although it remains far from the municipal contributions to sports entities: the agreement with the Club Patí Calafell, approved in the session of September 30, 2026, reaches 171,500.00 euros.

Why it matters

The publication provides a public record of how municipal funds are distributed among the local associative fabric and establishes the justification obligations of the beneficiary. For the entities of Calafell, the document is the reference for knowing which budget item supports their annual activity and under what control conditions they must account to the municipal Comptroller.
