Cabra appoints five career civil servants to reinforce its staff.
Por FactBox Admin

The Cabra City Council has formalized the appointment of five career civil servants to vacant posts in its staff of civil servants. Three administrative officers of General Administration (group/subgroup C1) and two administrative assistants (C2) have been appointed by separate resolutions of the Mayor’s Office, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba on Thursday, August 13, 2026. While the first three have already taken office, the remaining two have one month to do so.
The agreements are published for the purposes of Article 62.1.b) of the consolidated text of the Law of the Basic Statute of Public Employees, approved by Royal Legislative Decree 5/2015, of October 30, which regulates official publicity of acts for the provision of posts. With these appointments, the City Council provides career civil servant coverage —that is, permanent and not interim— for five vacant posts distributed between two of the most common bodies of local administration.
Three administrative officers (C1) have already taken office
The resolution published under reference BOP-A-2026-2759 records the appointment as career civil servants of three administrative officers of General Administration (group/subgroup C1), agreed by three separate resolutions of the Mayor’s Office. All three took office on June 26, 2026:
- Antonio Javier Arana Arrebola (resolution 2026/2320, of May 28, 2026).
- Piedad Ariza Expósito (resolution 2026/2333, of May 29, 2026).
- Isabel María Moreno Romero (resolution 2026/2344, of June 1, 2026).
The notice, signed in Cabra on August 3, 2026, details next to each name the resolution number and its date, as well as the national identity document of the individuals concerned, which appears partially masked in the official publication.
Two administrative assistants (C2), with one month’s deadline
The second resolution, identified by reference BOP-A-2026-2766, records the appointments made by resolution of the Mayor’s Office 2026/3436, of August 3, 2026, to administrative assistant posts (group/subgroup C2), also vacant in the staff:
- Silvia María Alcalá Jiménez.
- José Luis Güeto Sánchez.
Unlike the administrative officers, these two officials must take office within one month, counted from the day following notification of their respective appointments, as the notice itself warns.
Signature and official publicity
Both agreements are signed by the mayor of Cabra, Fernando Priego Chacón, dated August 3, 2026, and are inserted in the Local Administration section of the provincial gazette, on pages 12324 and 12325. Insertion in the official journal gives publicity to the act and, in the case of the assistants, sets the starting point for computing the legally established period for taking office.
With these five additions, the City Council of Cabra reinforces its staff of civil servants in two essential bodies for the daily operation of municipal services, a consolidation that brings stability to the administrative organization of the municipality and guarantees the coverage of positions that were vacant.
