The Cabra City Council has announced financial aid for birth and adoption for the year 2026, with a grant of €300.00 for each person born or adopted. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 175, dated September 10, 2026, with the official reference BOP-A-2026-3074, and is signed by the mayor, Fernando Priego Chacón.
The measure, which is processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime, seeks to cover pharmaceutical expenses for hygiene materials, infant nutrition, equipment, and non-mandatory vaccines purchased at local pharmacies and parapharmacies, to meet the needs of children in their earliest ages.
Regulatory Framework and Beneficiaries
The call is governed by the regulatory bases for the granting of subsidies under a non-competitive concurrence regime, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 179, dated September 16, 2022. The summary is disseminated in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and is registered in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier BDNS 928128.
Eligible beneficiaries are parents or adopters of children born or adopted between October 1, 2024, and July 31, 2026. All members of the family unit must be registered (empadronados) in Cabra at the time of the application.
Deadline and Method of Submission
Applications must be submitted within 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the provincial gazette. They must be completed using the attached forms and delivered to the General Registry of the Cabra City Council.
As this is a non-competitive concurrence, the grants are awarded to those who prove they meet the requirements and are distributed as requests are received, until the budget allocation is exhausted.
Required Documentation
The following documentation must be provided along with the application:
- Copy of the NIF or NIE of the applicant and the other members of the household unit, where mandatory.
- Certificate of registration (empadronamiento) with the members of the household unit.
- Family book (Libro de familia) or birth certificate proving the birth within the specified period.
- In cases of annulment, separation, or divorce, the regulatory agreement or court ruling.
- Certificate of ownership of a bank account from a Spanish credit institution.
- In single-parent families, documentation proving that the minor is under the care of the applicant.
- In the case of adoption, the judicial or administrative resolution proving the adoption.
Impact for Families
The call for applications provides direct support of 300 euros for each child born or adopted within the specified period, offering economic relief for families in Cabra with young children at a time of increasing expenses for food, hygiene, and vaccines. By covering purchases made at local pharmacies and parapharmacies, the measure also strengthens the municipality’s local commerce.
