The Cabra City Council has announced financial aid for birth and adoption for the year 2026, in the amount of 300.00 euros for each person born or adopted, intended to cover pharmaceutical expenses for hygiene materials, infant nutrition, supplies, and non-mandatory vaccines. The call is published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 175, dated September 10, 2026, with the reference BOP-A-2026-3074, and is processed under a non-competitive concurrence regime.
The measure, signed by Mayor Fernando Priego Chacón on August 26, 2026, is published as an extract in accordance with articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and its full text is available in the National Subsidies Database with the identifier BDNS 928128.
Purpose and beneficiaries
The aid is aimed at local families to meet the needs of children in their earliest ages, covering expenses incurred in pharmacies and parapharmacies in Cabra. Parents or adopters of children born or adopted between October 1, 2024, and July 31, 2026, may be beneficiaries, provided that all members of the family unit are registered as residents (empadronados) in the municipality at the time of the application.
The call is governed by the regulatory bases published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 179, dated September 16, 2022.
Deadline and submission
Applications must be submitted within 20 business days starting from the day following the publication of the call in the official gazette. They must be delivered, duly completed, to the General Registry of the Cabra City Council, using the forms attached to the call.
As this is a non-competitive concurrence, the aid is granted to those who prove they meet the requirements and is distributed in order of receipt of the requests until the budget allocation is exhausted.
Required documentation
The following documentation must be provided along with the application:
- Copy of the NIF or NIE of the applicant and the rest of the members of the household unit, where mandatory.
- Certificate of registration (empadronamiento) with the members of the household unit.
- Family book or birth certificate proving the birth within the fixed period.
- In cases of annulment, separation, or divorce, the regulatory agreement or judicial sentence.
- Certificate of bank account ownership from a Spanish credit institution.
- In single-parent families with two parents in the Family Book, documentation proving that the minor is under the care of the applicant.
- In the case of adoption, the accrediting judicial or administrative resolution.
Impact for families
The call for applications provides direct support to families in Cabra at a time of high child-rearing costs, alleviating expenses for pharmacy, infant nutrition, and vaccines during the first years of life. As applications are processed on a first-come, first-served basis and until the budget is exhausted, interested parties are recommended to submit their application as soon as possible within the 20-business-day period.
