Cabra announces 300,000 euros in rental assistance for young people aged 16 to 40

The Cabra City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba the summary of the call for rental assistance for people between 16 and 40 years old for the year 2026, with a total economic allocation of 300,000 euros. The call, signed by Mayor Fernando Priego Chacón on September 10, 2026, appears in issue number 179 of the gazette, dated September 16, 2026, on pages 13210 and 13211, with official reference BOP-A-2026-3115.

The objective of the measure is to cover the expenses derived from accessing and enjoying a rental home, contributing to the permanence and rooting of the youth population in the municipality and the arrival of new residents. According to the text, it also seeks to provide financial support to young families from Cabra and reduce the economic burden associated with renting.

Allocation and amount of aid

Funding will be charged to the credit assigned to budget item 3371.48200 (Housing rental aid: Youth), for a maximum total amount of 300,000 euros. The amount per applicant will be 75% of the total justified months, with a maximum of 200 euros per month, i.e., 2,400 euros per year.

• Maximum amount: €200/month and €2,400/year per beneficiary.
• Subsidizable percentage: 75% of the justified months.
• A single subsidy per cohabitation unit.
• No member of the cohabitation unit may appear in more than one application.

Two lines of beneficiaries

People between 16 and 40 years old may apply under one of these two lines:

• Line 1: people who, meeting the requirements, register their residency (empadronamiento) in Cabra prior to the submission of the application.
• Line 2: people already registered as residents in Cabra prior to the date of publication of the text in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba.

The general requirements to access the subsidy are established in Base 6 of the Regulatory Bases.

Deadline and method of submission

The deadline for submitting applications will be 15 business days, counting from the day following the publication of the summary in the gazette. Applications must be submitted:

• At the General Registry of the City Council or via the Electronic Registry through the electronic office.
• At the locations and registries provided for in article 16.4 of Law 39/2015, of October 1, on the Common Administrative Procedure.

The grants are awarded under a non-competitive concurrence regime: they will be granted to those who prove they meet the requirements and will be distributed as requests are received, until the budget allocations are exhausted. Applications must be completed using the forms in ANNEX I of the call, identified in the National Grants Database with the code BDNS 928890.

Regulatory Framework

The call is supported by the provisions of articles 17.3.b and 20.8.a of Law 38/2003, of November 17, General Law on Subsidies, and is based on the rental aid guidelines for people between 16 and 40 years old published in the Official Provincial Gazette number 141, of July 22, 2022.

With this call, Cabra reinforces its commitment to retaining the young population in the municipality within a context of demographic challenge for the interior of the province. Young residents of Cabra and those wishing to settle in the town now have a means of direct financial support for rent, with an application period of fifteen business days from the official publication.
