Por FactBox Admin

The Cabra City Council has published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba the call for the 2026 Comprehensive Support Plan for SMEs, a package of direct grants aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises and self-employed workers in the municipality. The call, signed on August 21, 2026, by the Acting Mayor, Encarnación Priego Jiménez, is published in issue number 171 of the gazette, dated September 3, 2026, with reference BOP-A-2026-3032.

The plan mobilizes a total of 250,000 euros distributed across four grant lines, which are awarded on a non-competitive basis. The stated objective is to facilitate self-employment initiatives, reactivate the labor market, and promote the creation of stable employment, with special attention to entrepreneurship among youth and women and the municipality’s agricultural sector.

Four lines of aid

The call is structured into four lines with different amounts depending on the purpose of the grant:

  • Line 1 – Incentive for business creation and entrepreneurship: €45,000.
  • Line 2 – Direct aid to promote job creation and hiring: €20,000.
  • Line 3 – Incentive for entrepreneurship for youth up to 35 years old and women over 45 years old: €45,000.
  • Line 4 – Aid for the rental of business premises: €140,000.

Beneficiaries and requirements

Natural and legal persons, entities without legal personality, communities of assets, and civil societies with a commercial purpose newly created in Cabra, incorporated between 10/01/2025 and 09/30/2026 and with new registrations with the State Tax Administration Agency and Social Security, may access the aid. Companies within the municipal district that formalize indefinite contracts or extend their working hours to full-time between 09/01/2025 and 09/30/2026, as well as youth up to 35 years old and women over 45 who launch business initiatives, are also beneficiaries.

In the case of the rental line, it is required that the company has its tax domicile in Cabra, be considered an SME, and have a business premises lease agreement at least 12 months old. Warehouses, large retail stores, communal markets, the business owner’s residence, and municipally-owned premises are excluded.

Deadline and processing

Applications must be submitted to the Registry of the Cabra City Council from the day following the publication of the call summary and, in any case, before 10/05/2026. They must be completed using the forms attached as an annex; those submitted in a different format must be corrected within 10 days, under penalty of withdrawal. The processing is governed by the General Subsidies Law 38/2003, of November 17, and the regulatory bases are those of the 2025 Comprehensive Support Plan for SMEs, published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 145, of July 29, 2025. The summary is registered in the National Subsidies Database with identifier BDNS 927174.

Impact on the business fabric

The call comes at a time when the council seeks to consolidate existing companies, incentivize self-employment, and prevent business closures in the municipality. With the premises rental line being the most funded, the plan also aims to sustain local commerce and encourage professionals to relocate to Cabra, in an effort to curb job destruction and generate economic dynamism throughout the municipal district.
