Cabildo of La Palma: hearing on twenty auxiliary nursing positions

The Island Council of La Palma has opened the hearing procedure so that the other interested parties may submit allegations against the reconsideration appeals filed against the public call for twenty positions of Healthcare Technician in Auxiliary Nursing Care (TCAE), vacant in its labor personnel workforce. The announcement, signed by the island president, Sergio Javier Rodríguez Fernández, is published in the Official Bulletin of the Province of Santa Cruz de Tenerife number 96, of 12 August 2026, with registration number 1701877. Interested persons have ten business days from publication to submit their allegations.

The twenty positions, classified in Group IV of professional classification, come from the Public Employment Offer of 2019, 2020 and 2021. The call was published in the Official Bulletin of the Province number 150, of 14 December 2022, under file number 19/2022/RH-CONV, and is processed as a competitive selection process. Against it, reconsideration appeals were filed, the transfer of which to the other interested parties is now agreed in accordance with article 124 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October, on the Common Administrative Procedure of Public Administrations.

Who are appealing

According to the announcement, the appeals were filed by 24 persons, identified in the bulletin only by their initials:

• M.T.AH., C.N.A.R., C.R.A.P., M.S.CH.P., N.R.G.G., D.G.B., J.H.G., M.Y.L.M. and M.S.M.C.
• M.I.M.M., A.M.M.M., M.Y.P.G., N.Y.P.M., I.P.M., J.A.P.P., M.R.P.R., C.R.B. and M.G.R.C.
• V.R.G., M.A.R.M., V.S.G., M.L.T.C. and T.V.R. (the initials M.A.R.M. appear twice)

Deadline and manner of filing allegations

The hearing procedure is granted for a period of ten business days from the publication of the announcement in the provincial bulletin, during which interested parties may submit such allegations as they deem appropriate:

• Consultation of the appeals: Human Resources Service of the Island Council of La Palma, located at Avenida Marítima 3, 4th floor, Santa Cruz de La Palma, by prior appointment request at recursos.humanos@cablapalma.es.
• Effect on the procedure: the deadline for resolving the appeals is suspended during the hearing procedure; once this has elapsed, the file will be resolved accordingly.

Relevance of the procedure

The opening of the hearing guarantees the right of all interested parties to be heard before the appeals are resolved, in a selection process called more than three and a half years ago, in December 2022, and pending ever since. For candidates for the twenty TCAE positions in La Palma, the outcome of this procedure conditions the continuation of the process: while the hearing is being processed, the resolution of the appeals remains suspended and, with it, the progress of the call.
