The Córdoba City Council has appointed Francisco Javier Martínez Almansa as Technical Advisor assigned to the Presidency Area, a position of trust within the Mayor’s Office, through the discretionary appointment procedure. The decision was adopted by Decree No. 2026/13967, of August 14, 2026, and published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Córdoba number 174, of September 9, 2026, page 12938, with reference BOP-A-2026-3018.

The appointment is issued in exercise of the powers conferred upon the Mayor by Article 124 of Law 7/1985, of April 2, regulating the Bases of the Local Regime, as amended by Law 57/2003, of December 16, on Measures for the Modernization of Local Government. These powers were delegated by Mayor’s Decree No. 8377, of June 17, 2023, and by Local Government Board Agreement No. 602/2023, of June 26.

A position of trust within the Mayor’s Office

The position of Technical Advisor to the Presidency Area is filled through the discretionary appointment procedure, provided for in Article 51 and following of the General Entry Regulations (Royal Decree 364/1995, of March 10). This is a position of special trust, the filling of which corresponds directly to the municipal governing body without the need for a public competition.
